Well, i watched a few of your videos, and they are ok, but with this one you went into something that you don't actually know. Since a music video is a production(like what you can see on tv or yt when they are showing your favorite artist) , what you just described is anything but a production. A video production means 3 steps are in order, pre-production, production, post-production. Anything else is not called a production and obviously is pure amateur filming. So basically it depends if you want to deliver your product as a pro, or as an amateur, it's about ambitions, and as such it depends if you can gather enough money for an actual production, because they are going to cost you some money. Why ? because an actual music video is going to be made by more than one guy. So if you have a good song, it's dumb to just shoot a so called video where you are doing nothing, you just spitting rhymes and you just walk around with no purpose (since it's common, your song will inherit that simple vibe, and it might kill your chance of getting attention from people, or music executives---which are looking for art, and art is not something that everybody can do, because if everybody would be able to do a form of art it would be nothing special to consume). I recommend you to save money for 1 video per year (if that is the best that you can do), but shoot a real video, and not film 10 DIY videos that are the same, unless you have a mixtape to promote your serious work. A music video is a form of art, in pre-production you should have a script based on what your songs says, or that can cover a concept. So, if you have enough money, different elements can be added to it. Yes, a lot of rappers had success with stupid videos, that are offensive to those who actually work in that area as professionals, and have qualities to do it. Imagine that when you are buying bread to eat, they get lazy and not hire someone who can actually do it right, and instead..... you get a half baked bread, you would be offended by that, because you expect quality, not a guy who is doing it by himself with no qualities for it, and no other purpose that to sell it and steal the job from someone who would respect your need for a fully baked bread. So to sum it up.....if you respect music as a form of art, and you respect yourself and your craft, then you better respect the associated form of art that goes with your song, and of course you should respect your consumers, because they expect you to work as hard as they are when they work as doctors to fix your ass up, or they sweep your streets so that your kids don't play in dirt all the time, etc. Damn !
