2 stroke is the fastest reving least part design ever made in a piston engine. Its alien smart, no computer needed. Its been around forever but federal government don't like them. You can't find 500cc twin cylinder, two stroke Road Bikes anymore. But I remember the Suzuki T500 cobra being popular around. True widowmakers : no supercharger or turbo needed. Just gas 😊

What's more insane is the oil. If you put food oil in there it would burst into flames. Absolutely. And turbos spin at like 20,000 rpm when under load. 3 seconds of not having steady oil at that speed and it turns itself into a Dremel tool, the shaft is thinner than a straw spinning twice the speed of a grinder... Doesn't take an engineer to know what 20,000rpm of metal on metal will do to a metal rod the size of chopsticks...

I'm continually amazed at the combustion engine. Most people never know what their engine does/goes through. Then add in the aviation industry, our engines run at 90-100% nearly all the time. A car engine could never withstand that abuse. Where an airplane engine almost thrives on it. Next time your car breaks down... Or your flight is delayed... Consider the stress these machines undergo. At another time, we can discuss jet engines...MIND BLOWN! Thanks for your amazing animation!

It wouldn't hurt to add that at the end of the exhaust stroke, the exhaust valve and the intake valve are open at the same time. NOT A LOT, just a little..... but it takes a little ventilation to get the last little bit of exhaust off the top of the piston. So the intake valve begins to open before the exhaust valve is fully closed and vacuum from the exhaust manifold sucks the rest of the exhaust out of the cylinder, allowing a full volume of clean air and fuel vapor to engulf the cylinder... with NO contamination from residual exhaust.
