@TacIsRat All companies you mention ,I have lost faith in. I am still weary of caveman as well, as they have burned us with showdown’s support. I defended CWS early on and kept getting let down every update, I appreciate their ambition, but the game crashes far too much, and the raid recovery system they added rarely worked for me, if the game didn’t crash some other bug would ruin a raid, IE stuck in a mag palm….. I have at least 200 hrs in the new game, Only 2 crashes, 1 gun and 1 good set of keys lost through map, that’s it.

Early access unfortunately is a plague that is all promises and no real sight of actually delivering, which is why it doesn’t make sense to defend Caveman when its the exact same business practice. i think ghosts of tabor does NOT care about us. they’ve stated that old players aren’t a priority because they are raking in money from new players buying the game, compared to people who have it. i think exfil zone has a pretty sizable chance to become the number one vr extraction shooter if they don’t take the same careless, cash grab mindset as tabor. i will say though, one thing tabor does do better is making sure items don’t bug out as often. i’ve only played tabor for ~120 hours, but i’ve only had 3 items ever glitch out to where i couldn’t get them back. in ez, you drop a key mid raid, the floor eats it up like a starving lion. lose tracking for a second? hands stretch across the map and anything you’re holding is gone. i’ve played countless extraction shooters, and for me GoT was never really there i guess. it was just an extraction shooter in vr to me, that’s it. it didn’t bring anything special to the table. yet somehow, contractors feels different. there’s still the chance to lose everything, but somehow it doesn’t feel as bad. there’s so many more key rooms in ez, which is honestly one of the main reasons i can’t stay away. i LOVE the adrenaline of opening up a locked area.

There is a larger and very experienced team behind EZ, along with a majority of the basic components being borrowed from showdown. Not to mention tabors devs are for some reason being taken away to work on two other games, while showdown and normal contractors have been kinda abandoned for this project.

Personally, I like them both but I’ve been leaning a bit more towards exfilzone but tabor still holds a special place in my heart as one of the games that got me into this genre of games, I’m excited to see where they take it this year.

Here’s my list: - Gun handling feels less floaty and arcade-like in GoT - The watch is HUGE. The less HUD items, like the compass, in a VR game, the better! - Quick mute/unmute using the watch is something I really miss in ExfillZone - Throwing grenades, although not perfect, at least depends more on skill than the arcade-like throwing mechanic ExfillZone has.

Grenade throw are not based on real weight of a grenade, it make it totally unpredictable, so i prefer 10 times the exfilzone system, it is much closer to the reality because this is a way to know exactly the force you will use to throw.

I do disagree with the whole hideout setup, vs tabor kiosk armor prep set up, I mean when you upgrade your bunker fully you literally have like 14 armor slots that you can set up each one to your liking. When fully prepared with my set up, if I die, I grab ready armor,ready pack, ready weapons, and my preparation becam less then a minute before jumping back in raid. I feel like that's a feature for flatscreen games for sure but is kinda worthless in VR since again you can just hang all your ready builds and grab on demand, that's a head scratcher for me and could care less about that feature, but I can't wait for more maps, and air drops would be sick, I'd also like to see that overcast come through naturally like it does in showdown mode! I can't wait bro!

Ever since the December 18th wipe I have yet to play a single match in Ghosts of Tabor. I think I just got burnt out, don't really have a lot of time on my hands to play games and when you have to dedicate at the very least an hour and a half to even attempt to level up each time you play, I started playing flat screen games again. The level of graphic fidelity and overall quality of gameplay is just no competition for VR right now, plus I just stumbled upon Ready or Not and as a die hard SWAT 4 player, I'm going to grind that until I see some real changes I like in Tabor or when Grim or Silent North release.

For me a huge thing that put me off GOT is that apparently the discord and devs team are super toxic and defensive when anyone provides general feedback on the game. I don't want to be part of a community like that. I tried exfil and haven't looked back. It's the first vr game that actually has me coming back for more multi-player wise.

3:00 not just gun sounds i would say audio in general, In hallways gun shots echo while outdoors they fade quickly, almost all rifles have different gun sounds and with sounds like the scar you can literally hear the springs in it moving. Edit: I realize these are both gun sounds 🤣

And when it comes to aiming naturally, throwing grenades naturally and mag packing naturally, tabor also takes the W. Did they update the mag packing in Tabor? The last time I played intensively around Matka Miest and Matka Underground being new you had to grab individual bullets at a time to pack magazines without the machine. A core memory of mine was grabbing some Fenix SKS mags, unloading all the rounds on the floor in a corner of Island, and putting them all into my emptied AKM magazines, grabbing one round at a time. The 15 round bundles in ExfilZone are kind of an arbitrary number (and probably too large for things like 12 gauge or 7.62x54r) but I'm quite sure my palm can manage more than one bullet.

On the topic of dynamic gameplay around the airdrops: ez done the quest line SO we’ll that in every raid you never know what quest each player is doing making every raid extremely dynamic, making players travel is different directions rather than just rush high tier loot room then exfil, also the player scavs make it 10x more dynamic yet. But I do agree I think ez could benefit from some sort of airdrop type feature, On the topic of premade builds to me is just meh, I never used it in tabor because I was always piecing together what I had never buying new from the shop. Also I have a hate love relationship with the gearing up process, even though it sucks, I think it’s important that it take time to gear up and set everything up, it makes deaths feels way more punishing and makes you really not want to die and have to gear allll back up again, so I think it’s needed to have to piece everything together to make it feel hordcore. Biggest thing right now is not having reconnecting to raid. 2nd biggest thing has to be gun sounds, guns sounds NEEEED to be changed, it deff doesn’t hit for me.

Exfil zone will have all of these things and exceed tabors features in my opinion A few months versus over two years is obviously going to have a disparity of QOL features Also I don’t like the excuse from the Tabor glazers: “Caveman had more time to work on their gamesssssss” that may be true but they delivered a better product in a tiny fraction of the time. And even if their dev team is bigger, Paradox of Hope and ConVRgence were made by one guy. Blade and sorcery was made by I believe 3 guys. Tabor devs don’t care about or respect their community as much as I blindly thought they did when I started playing extraction shooters.

Taking a knife has become a common practice for me. I have also taken down all bosses before wipe with knives. They add a layer of challenge and fun if you want to use them. But not essential as you say.

I think exfilzone is getting the mechanics of tarkov in faster than tabor is. They have a market, ammo system, scavs, health system, and maps like tarkov. But tabor is polishing each part one by one. In early tabor, the biggest reason people hated on it was bc it was trying to copy tarkov, then ez comes out with all the tarkov features and suddenly tabor sucks for not having them. Kinda unfair in my opinion, tabor isn't a direct copy of tarkov like ez.

Tabor was good but it is already surpassed by Exfilzone, not by far but still surpassed. Exfil is already way more polished, Tabor was a game with a great potential but it was ruined by lazy devs and low effort update, the only thing they was able to produce are paid weapons dlc’s and a paid mode who should have been free. If Tabor don’t release something massive soon (and take care of the cheaters that they basically ignored until now), the game is doomed.

Strangely, the moderators on their discord server, say it only applies for scopes like a 4x and not to dots or iron sites, which doesn’t seem correct at least with my experience. Also, at least from when I played last you could only turn off aim assist if you turn off motion smoothing, which is almost necessary for aiming in VR games. Kind of strange decisions

Honestly I know its for content so people keep comparing them, but I really don't think its worth it to. one has been out a year 1/2 ish one is a month out Both games are similar but different on what they accomplish. Want VR tarkov, Play Exfil, that is what i want, so I play it right now and the game looks better since tabor downgraded the graphics, same thing onward had done at one point. Tabor is its own thing and made its own design choices, if the devs would stop focusing on other games and just deliver the features planned, tabor would probably be what I played. Really we will have to wait a few months to see what happens. Not being able to load back into raid is about the only thing exfil does that bothers me, the game is only alpha though and they have made some good updates. Either way play what you want, I think a lot of people are migrating to exfil, for now, but that happens with a lot of games people migrate back after the new charm expires. Tarkov had the same thing happen. Something new comes out, people go play it instead for a month, maybe two, and then ultimately go back.

Gun and running sound locations. In facility i GoT I can get a good idea that someone is above me. Not so much in Exfil Zone. I don't care for the air drops though. I never seen em during those empty ass raids. In Exfil zone I can choose the server. No one plays in Asia Servers in GoT. (Please exfil zone fix the gun sound locations a bit more)

1- More than 100 raids in Islands of Tabor, 3 airdrops ever heard, 3 times never touched the airdrop because of kitted players and their squad, it's a dynamic event but very few can properly try and do it and it's also extremely rare, requiring players to still be alive at a certain point in time in the raid to activate. Meanwhile when people start shooting near the mall in ExfilZone, people from everywhere start rushing in due to the high chances of having a boss spawn and players competing to get boss loot. 2- This is kinda of an unfair point, sure, Ghosts of Tabor has the favorite feature but you still need to load the mags, craft the ammo, build your gun, build your vest with a very small amount of pocket space...meanwhile in Exfil you can directly purchase the ammo, buy the gun and attachments on the same NPC, then buy Helmet/Backpack/Armor on the other and be ready for a raid, the autoloader doesn't require you to manually load the ammo and even the manual loading animation is better than Tabor. So overall, I would say Exfil still comes ahead to Tabor when it comes to "raid downtime", not to mention that scavs also drop gear so you can upgrade your gear on the go, unlike Tabor where if you enter naked you will need to find helmet and armor from players or loot, and most loot are very bad loot. EDIT: You also get a lot of rewards from the quests which you can pick up right next to the queue console, exfil hideout just feels 100% better than Tabor without all the different rooms and large space. 3- Definetely, TABOR is 100% better when it comes to sounds, this is something undeniable. 4- Nighttime isn't really that great, seriously, it's just daytime with players using nightvision, however Exfil already has Nightvision so we can expect night raid later when the game has more players. All in all, both games are great, but Tabor is really lacking, specially on QoL features, it took them almost forever to add a water jug to water your plants, it will definetely take forever for them to fix every little thing in the game and by that time, ExfilZone either went bankrupt because of how cheap it is compared to Tabor or they finished a perfect game with the right mix of microtransactions and gameplay.

I always played Tabor spitefully, because I love extraction shooters and it was the only option. But I really never enjoyed the game. Character models are terrible(why are our legs constantly crouching even when standing up straight???). Gun handling is atrocious. AI still and has always sucked. Dying never felt fair, like it was always the game’s shortcomings screwing me over. Yet I’m enjoying every minute of EZ. Even when I get smoked and lose everything.

Tabor till I die. Exfil zone feels like another call of duty game. It feels cheap. Tabor is unique and feels like every gun is an individual piece that functions unlike any other platform. The gun fights I get into in tabor make my heart race where I feel like the gunfights in exfil zone feels far and few between. Exfil zone shoot outs feel cheap.

@@mochatugboat1914Exfilzone zone is a slower game for players new to extract shooters. Larger maps means less fights, and in general fights in Exfilzone are far more forgiving, which can be frustrating for many players

In all reality, you really can’t compare the 2 one has been out for a very long time (ghost of tabor) and one is new (contractors)and still updating and perfecting itself so kind of a pointless video at this point in time 🤷‍♂️
