Hiya! I appreciate your tip on the other social media platform, I truly have wanted to get a laser cutter for a while and this is a great option. If I end up going that route, I'll be sure and use your link. Thanks also for the information about suppliers! That will save me a lot of time and headache if I decide to go forward with this.

I purchased a 6” AC Infinity and printed reducers for 4” hose, both to the machine and to the window. Once my Glowforge arrived, I found the setup was not as good as I hoped. After watching a few videos, I realized if I increased the hose to the window vent to 6”, it would increase the airflow, significantly. Additionally, upgrading the 4” hose to a rubber hose, reduced the amount of odour coming from the setup. So now, I have 4” rubber hose to a 4 - 6” reducer, on the fan, with a 6” hose, from AC Infinity, to a 6” window vent.

Man I just went to that Smokey hills. I don’t know where you live but if you have a menards you should go look at their 1/8” & 1/4” plywoods. You can get 1/4” 4’x8’ sheet for $48. It would save you a lot! They have other types too.

I’ve actually tried Home Depot and didn’t care for some of the materials there but didn’t try Menards. Thanks!

It is my understanding Glowforge software is proprietary and they upcharge for basic upgrades.

I don’t use their premium service for the app. I don’t think it’s necessary in my opinion and not worth the money.
