It’s too often that women don’t know or understand the Bible for themselves. The husband is to treat the wife as Jesus treated the church (dying for the church) and there are passages that say “the husband’s body belongs to the wife” just as it says the wife body belongs to the husband.

An older widower acquaintance went to South East Asia & met a woman about 15 years ago, he couldn't find a woman in the UK who would wait on him hand and foot. They married then the wife execute her plan, she works non stop to send money back home & has no time for the man who brought here. PP Bros may think they have the upper hand but these ladies network before they even arrive. The now even older guy is more bitter than ever, & he has to accept what little she does for him.
@tiahnarodriguez38099 ай бұрын
Yes, this is usually how it goes. The foreign women who marry PP Bros usually do it because they know the PP Bro has resources that their family can benefit from whether they have access to more job opportunities or if they stay home, they and their family get the PP Bro to send money back to the wife’s home country. Another thing is that PP Bros expect a submissive woman who will bend to their will, but every culture has its own version of gender norms and wifely/husband duties. PP Bros usually end up disappointed with East Asian and Eastern European women because their version of submissive is that they rule the home, and in the case of East Asian wives they are in charge of finances, so it’s not unusual for them to control how much access their husband has to the funds. These bros delude themselves b into thinking that foreign women are so desperate that they’ll worship any man who comes along.

For the story about the rocking chair, yeah I know that It's a lovely idea to have a chair nurture multiple generations. I laughed way too hard at the mental image of that rocking chair flying out the window and of course I heard the music in my head. That being said, he previously mentioned it was a family heirloom that his family had used for a long time, so I wouldn’t destroy it. That’s like men killing plants that their women love. He’s obviously being unreasonable, since he won’t be doing the nursing. Let’s face it, he probably won’t be doing bottle feedings either, and he won’t ever wake up in the middle of the night to feed or comfort the baby in that chair that he seems more compassionate towards than he does his wife. If he wants to be an active parent who cares for the baby and he wants to use that chair to do so, he can place it outside the room or give in and paint it. He’s unwilling to compromise, even though he won’t be doing most of the labor, and that signals bad things for the rest of their relationship.
@NotatHome46849 ай бұрын
I know it’s not the poor chair’s fault. This guy seems waaaay too adamant that she has to accept and use the chair. She’s grown and carrying another human in her womb, if she doesn’t want, then she doesn’t want. He’s not even trying to consider her feelings or input on the matter. He needs to pick and choose his battles. It could possibly be resolved with a little thinking outside the box yet he chooses to be stubborn. So bye bye rocking chair.😱😭

I can't compare men to animals. Animals are complex, diverse, and intelligent. Pigs are some of the most intelligent land animals in the world, and they're so incredibly useful on a farm or even just for composting. Flies are fascinating! Not to mention; in their larval stage as maggots, they can be used to save people's lives from their own necrotic tissue. Ants are capable, strong and have nothing in their mind except the health and well-being of their colony. Vultures are sweet, smart, strong, beautiful birds, who help with decomposition and keep the cycle of nature moving along. Have you seen any videos of vultures raised in captivity? They're so sweet.❤ In conclusion, men are worse than animals almost 100% of the time. The only thing I can think of that would have absolutely no positive associate would be parasites. Ticks and mosquitoes. Spreaders of disease, a source of only annoyance and discomfort.

That first woman may well be in a Christian marriage with a closeted man. Whatever the reason for the way he treats her, she should get out.

1st story, that last commenter talking about holiness, I'd ask can a single woman be holy or nah? Sounds like they equate being single to being for the streets. There's a difference.
@VeeKayGreenerGrass9 ай бұрын
Yes. In religious circles being single as a woman is treated like condition that needs to be cured. A lot of women are hurried into relationships with men they're totally incompatible with within the church. The indoctrination for women in marriage practically paralyzes them into staying married.

20:42 🤨on behalf of the entire internet, we need to see a photo of this rocking chair. Why can’t it be painted? And other than a bentwood rocker, I am not imagining any “beautiful piece” as a rocking chair that would warrant such a tone. Rocking chairs are kinda hard to work into a room, they take up a lot of space and can look very dated.

I grew up Christian in the south, became Agnostic for years after grad school, and now practice a more reasonable expression of my faith. That being said, I appreciate Burb's fair assessment that for practitioners, their religion sets certain boundaries. I don't tell my Muslim homegirls to drink a margarita after a long day, I don't offer pork bacon to my Jewish boss, and I don't encourage my Christian friends to divorce for incompatibility or convenience. Abuse (financial, emotional, physical) or infidelity? Absolutely, and I'll help where I can. But in scenario #1, the wife isn't the one who needs correction. Her husband, if he's a Christian, is failing all of his requirements. His wife feels unloved and is begging for s*x? The miserable people on Reddit clearly don't care enough to correct him, because it's the wife who must learn to suffer in silence or whatever. Nah. That's not biblical. I hope she gets advice from people who love her.

I love me an antique chair but she needs to be COMFORTABLE while nursing. Plus has it even been re glued? It could literally fall apart under her and the baby otherwise. Wood glue only last so long and wood can shrink and warp over time, especially if there’s humidity changes.

Story #4: i agree with not painting an antique, but if the wife is requesting another type of chair for nursing, she should be accommodated. Likely this isnt a forever piece of furniture and can be passed along once shes done with it.

On the Christian subreddit, interesting the one who said it’s not about your happiness is called lost little boy- so it sounds like a guy trying to excuse other guys. I am a Christian myself, and happily single and child free.(which the Bible is fine with -don’t let others tell you otherwise if they happen to say it’s not (insert religious term) . I’d say if you are in a bad marriage get out and be free. Harder to do with kids sadly.

Loool @ that westerner dude having the self-importance to think that it's they, the PP bros, a teeny tiny minority of men in our country have 180'd the dating culture. It's not like they're the only men we're interacting with, it's not impossible for women from different countries to come to similar conclusions after experiencing relationships and seeing others do so. It's just us figuring things out within our own communities and more recently, reading and relating to women's experiences across the globe. It's still not 100% accessible as very few people in my country understand English at a decent level, but there are people on TikTok and YT who made a sizable audience by translating content on such topics. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw your videos translated on Ukrainian side of the clock app. And conversely, men are seeing the same manosphere talking points from the West translated, but also many of the local relationship couches. I would even argue that our own version of this movement predates the Angloshphere's initial pickup artist trend of the 00s. Even before the internet became a thing, some men would try enforce Domostroi, which is a 16-century collection of rules for households, it's as bad as you'd imagine. These foreign men tend to lead with their wallets, and then act surprised that that's how they're perceived. It would be funny if it weren't so sad. Also, there's the expectation gap where the more liberal, young and naive women would think of Western men as being more civilized and progressive than ours, and in turn, the foreigners are coming looking for Stepford wives.

The lady regretting her marriage is likely already being cheated on and probably was during the entire relationship. It’s not too late to divorce him. What she is experiencing is abuse. God created divorce because of abuse (the hardness of the hearts of the men).

These are the same people that will tell a man that it's perfectly okay for him to divorce a sick wife and marry a younger, healthier wife and he can absolutely do it without worry. I've seen it happen. They're hypocrites.

Story 1: It is a shame that the OP decided to go through w/this marriage even though her 'husband' never really made her feel like that special one. He sounds as though he is not attracted to her, which is unfortunate but that may be something she has to come to terms with. I certainly don't want OP to end up like the commenter in the 16 year marriage where her dude has never shown any kind of affection towards her; like even a dog or a cat can show some type of affection sometimes Geez!! Story 2: The PP bros; hmm as we went along in this story it made me ask the question, What is Eastern culture teaching women and girls if the western men are looked at as simps/weak and ruining it for everyone else?? Kinda sounds like a nightmare you can't wake up from!! I would love to explore eastern culture/trends/habits just to get a better glimpse into what these women and girls have to endure from these males. Story 3: There is a reason that man has 2 baby mom's or two exes!!! Those should have been glaring glowing red flags with bells and whistles attached!! This guy is only 29 years old and obviously has no idea how to make a relationship work, and so I don't really know how to tell the OP how to do anything but make an exit plan. He seems shallow, cold and unwilling to compromise....how do you work w/that?? Story 4: This guy sounds like he wants to end it all right here w/the rocking chair. A wooden rocking chair is NOT Comfortable -he is not even offering to put padding or something there that his wife would agree to! I would love to know how this turns out, I definitely wouldn't nurse my baby in an uncomfortable rocking chair, he can have it the room all he wants, doesn't mean she has to sit in it, he is a duma@#!!

16:16 WHEW CHILE 😮💨 I have no words except I’m gone like a thief in the night 😂 and if she shows this to him, is she going to leave??? Sometimes women like this I give the side eye only because are you REALLY trying to find a solution or just venting? I’ve dealt with this with a family member and after I told her I’d help her get away from that ass*hole she still stayed! She always came to my house to trauma dump (also included her trashing him) but always had a rebuttal or an excuse for EVERY solution I offered. It became emotionally taxing for me so I had to cut her off finally and then my other sister told me she finally got a divorce from him. I hope other men start to realize it is the way a lot of men move that make women either become weary of them or stay away from them all together. They create dysfunction in the dating culture and then want to blame women. They accept no accountability but have no problem adding to the dysfunction for their own selfish wants and needs. I say leave them alone and let them rot.
