The replacement schindler in Puri Indah Mall Jakarta is rather weird. It has the can of a 3300 with the fixtures, indicator, and doors but has a different logic. It runs way more efficiently than a 3300 (predoors and all). I suspect it's a 5500 hidden in 3300 style interior.

Good one. While in Europe and USA & Canada the Schindler 5500 door equipment is supplied by Sematic Group.

the 3100 and 3300 models use Fermator door operators regardless of region.

The reason the Simatic door operators make sound is because they are geared. The Fermators are direct drive.

Yes! Look up in the shaft. You'll see the geared motor. Also the fermators use slim sills on both shaft and cab side. The sematics use slim sill only on the cab side and a fat sill on the hall side.

Now there's something O really wanted to show you but I cant: A Schindler NeoLift with 5500 fixtures. It is simply a NeoLift chassis but with 5500 fixtures, except they have a NeoLift display, functions, specifications and SFX. But I found some true 5500 ones in an airport, and they have the door sound, logic and clicks, plus they are very comfortable! Unfortunately they do not have the lamterns because they are the European model. Schindler is now modernizing all of their elevators from before 2000 with 5500 fixtures, probably to wipe out the "Atlas" name, as their new escalators and elevators don't have the Atlas name anymore...

IDLift3000 I have very few media about that, as these are in Sao Paulo, very far from me, and I hardly go there, and their owners are not very photo-friendly. The nearest ones are 180km away from me, and they're in an airport we don't use too much and is guarded by the Federal Police, filming there would get me in some reeeal trouble. I depend on my parents to go there and film them, and they don't have time for that there. But next time I go to SP I'll try to get some shots of them.

I presume the reason for the logic is becuase the 3300 logic is the same/similar to the old style 3300, whereas the 5500 would have new logic, being a brand new model.

on the 5500s the shaft side door sill is always fatter than the one on the cab side.

So I'm guessing the new 3300s in the United States will have a similar looking panel like the one at 0:25? It's just the buttons will look a little different compared to these ones.

There could be a chance. The brand new Schindler 3100 in the United States also have this type of panel (FIGS)

Interesting... I mean I check Schindler's North American website and pretty much you can't really tell the difference between 3100s and the new 3300s models. The only way you can tell the difference between the two is that Schindler 3100 only at least 3 floors as opposed to 3300 which goes higher than 3 floors. Plus the cabs look the same.

Wittur actually produces the entire 3300, Schindler's task was to supply the design. In other words, 3300 are (almost) generic lifts, except for the price.

There are cost cutting on the 3300 such as using a cheap version of the Schindler Miconic-TX and have no chassis as well as the motor not as good as the 5500 or 5400

3300 is cheap and 5500 is more well built. 3300 have no chassis but 5500 does 3300 got a cute little motor while the 5500 have a heavy duty motor 3300 got a cheap version of a Schindler Miconic but 5500 got a proper Miconic-TX

Schindler needs to work more on the Mrl logic cabinets. Not the 3300 because the logic is small and can be hidden well next to the lift, but the 5500. It's pretty big and visible and ugly. Mitsubishi has done a better job in hiding those (as you can see with their nexiez Mrl, you wouldn't have a clue that lift is an MRL if you didn't look for the logic cabinet specifically and try to find out whether or not it is an MRL).

Schindler need to make their 7000 for low and mid rise building as well for those who want the Schindler M-Series in the building. Schindler 5500 is alright but 3300 need work

7000 would've been WAY OVERKILL for a low to mid rise buildings.

@@idl3k_elev Well I mean elevator car used to have a proper chassis on Low and Mid rise elevator and a heavy duty gearless or geared motor before mid 2000s. At least Mitsubishi, Hitachi, and Hyundai (also only companies that still offer the geared motor called STVF) still have that today though
