An Etsy seller did this and it helped me tremendously when I purchased a specialty font that had extra options for each letter. She responded with kindness and added the link. @@Sunset1705 yes, I do have more than one Etsy shop. Also have eBay, Amazon, RedBubble, Zazzle. I design everything from products to digital, to cards to books. I highly believe you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket. I have seen sites close and take all my hard work with them. It's discouraging. I stay busy and never get bored. Each of my Etsy stores specializes in something. I ran a woodworking Etsy store for 10 years but recently closed it due to declining sales and rising shipping costs.

Trust me, selling digital items on etsy is a nightmare. My friend was selling for 5 years and a bunch of competitors kept reporting her. Actually, they were buying her items, reporting her and reselling her design. Etsy couldn't do anything about it and eventually, she closed her shop. And yes, she was making sales at first but after 2 or 3 months, it went down and not only her but I hear this story so many times.

How could they report her successfully? If she had her items listed already, and they were 100% hers, there is no way to prove otherwise. I have a bunch of copyrighted songs in the US copyright office. What if we protect our work that way before listing it online?

@@BillGraper 🤔That's how it works on Etsy. You can report anyone, Etsy doesn't really check who the owner is. If you don't believe me, you can try, and you will see it will work. Etsy doesn't want to be involved in this infringement stuff. You can report anyone now if you wish to, you will see it works, and that's the whole problem. You know what, I talked to some people about it because that is a known issue, and Etsy doesn't care, but if you want to protect yourself, the ONLY way is to get a lawyer so when you get reported, your lawyer will talk with Etsy, and then you are protected. Is it worth it? I guess so. Is it expensive a lot, and that's another reason why most people lose their work because they don't want to pay for a lawyer. After talking to my friend, she told me many people started to sell on their own websites. If you count your loss by fake reports vs lower sales on your website, you are winning to be your own boss. This is something people need to consider more because people think Etsy brings free traffic. While it's true, getting a flow of fake reports is the culprit on Etsy, and this is enough to make you bankrupt. My friend lost over 100K because of this. There is a large network in Vietnam doing fake reports. They have tons of phony accounts with credit cards. Enough to keep you busy with counter-notices instead of focusing on creating and selling on Etsy.

Currently, I only sell calendars and they're targeted at those who want a simple calendar to fill in their appointment or plan their leaves. Hi there and thank you for your video. I have an Etsy store where I sell iron on transfers. I’ve had it for about 6 years and I have almost 5,000 sales. However, I just opened a second digital shop a few weeks ago but no sales yet on it as I only have 5 listings. At this shop I have digital stamps for people that make cards, however I’m thinking of changing it to png files for sublimation. I draw my art in procreate but I’m having trouble figuring out how large a png sublimation file should be. I’ve had to go digital because of problems I’m having with my thumbs due to the amount of vinyl I’ve had to peel on my current store as it’s very repetitive.

If it's not a copyrighted image (say Disney or something) then they should be able to bring it to a poster printing shop or even an office store like Staples / Office Max and have the poster printed from a file. There's also websites that will print the posters and ship them but that tends to cost a little more.

I sell digital products on my website and I have no protection. It just says on my website that the product is not for resale (it says the same on Etsy stores). For my courses, I have that the product is not for resale in the footer of the sales page. I've never had a problem in 10 years.

How do my customers buy the prints. How do I set up the download for my customers?

You upload the file to your Etsy listing. It sends it to them when they purchase
