I was nervous as hell before my first gig in 2008, so nervous my hands were shaking and I was struggling to put the needle on the record. I somehow managed to nail my first transition and as soon as that was done my nerves transformed into pure euphoria. The rest of the set was so much fun, it went by way too fast and by the end I didn't want to stop 😂😂 If you're nervous before a gig, just focus on getting that first mix right, the rest will come to you!

I've been playing for about 14 years and I'm seeing young people all around me getting into it the last few years...I've always wanted to mentor or kind of lead them to avoid the mistakes I've made in an industry I know like the back of my hand...but I'm a bit of a douche and not easy to work with. I've been sending cool videos I've come across to get them motivated and invested again and your channel is AMAZING for this purpose. You're saying every single thing I feel new dj's need to hear...not the usual "where to get music", "what software to use" and all the other things that don't really prepare you for the experience. Not a lot of people realize how humble you have to force yourself to be to succeed. New dj's get the wrong impression and instantly act like rockstars during their first gig.

your videos, dj lessons and especially life lessons helped me alot on my young dj-journey. getting into djing myself was just a small idea a year ago. then "rocking a dance floor as a dj sometime" became a small dream. just for fun u know? then this summer ive had the oppurtinity to open the techno floor for 2 hours which was one of my personal highlights not only in this strange year 2020 with lots of ups and downs but in my whole lifetime! making contacts with the right people at the right time (and uploading a bad soundcloud mixtape) and being very lucky was my ticket for this djing opportunity. and being a funny and cool fast learner with a nice taste of techno tunes haha :D staying positive, focusing on the good things, trying to make the best out of things and enjoying the moment. 👍 hopefully there will be open/free music venues again next year so i can fill more dancefloors with sound and passion. and let me say that the #1 reason i love this channel is your positive and spiritual personality that you can bring out so lovely. merry xmas and keep on rocking in the free world!'' edit: your last point about that "vehicle" is very powerful. thank you for pointing that out.

I lived in Oz for 2 years, where I discovered a whole genre and culture of music I haven't experienced before. In America (in my opinion) the DJ world is primarily EDM and is very mainstream with massive attendance, and just a hand full of events a year. Oz opened my eyes to house , techno, minimal, doof tunes, etc. Clubs that played this type of music, on the regular , where's it's easily available and more intimate events. It clicked to me that this is something I want to do, bring this genre and culture to the states by running events and DJing a few sets here and there would be good fun too..gotta get in on the action ! Covid definitely gave me the time to get into dj-ing. I always say youtube is my University. I feel I've struck gold when I find amazing mentors on on this platform such as yourself! I know I just started DJing and I have a longggg way to go (and truly, one can never stop learning - am I right) .. Anywho, to conclude this novel I just wrote, lol, I just want to say thank you for being so easy and relaxing to learn from and always having such good energy, it's all very organic and much needed in this world! Watching your videos , makes me feel like I'm back in Oz, miss that place, can't wait to move back! Sending good intentions to all for the new year :) Keep creating ✨
