Seriously i awaken a love about film soon, but since last video w peter i cant wait to have a moment kit. that anamorphic lenses are so cool . its a true image .im an industrial designer and i believe a sketch w mistakes and dirty strokes its most of the time more valuable than a super realistic illustration... thats what those anamorphic lenses mean to me ( w/out being sketchy, which is even more awesome). is not a joke u guys make something incredible about film world!

For iOS, we have LumaFusion. You can check it out. And if you like it, maybe ask them about it. Because it is really capable (not Premiere Pro level, but...) and suits most of the mobile needs. If they see a potential user base, they may release a version for Android.

Thanks for the great video. You recommend "locking" the shutter speed to 1/48 and using an ND filter in bright conditions - does that mean that you are shooting with an ND filter for most outdoor day shots?

Brandon Souba I guess you have to. Even a overcasted sky often has too much light. But one has to check before shooting a scene. See what happens if you stick to 1/48. If the image is overexposed use a ND filter until it looks right and movement is smooth. You will recognise the difference immidiately.

Will you guys be making lenses for the Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei Porsche Design Mate RS? I'm a big fan of Moment lenses and will be getting the Mate RS as my next daily driver. It would be awesome if you guys would make lenses for that phone. It's got a telephoto zoom and portrait lens already. If coupled with a wide angle and macro lens from you guys, it would have everything I need in one package! Please please please do lenses for the Huawei mate rs. Cool video... I was just going to say that there's an app called 'desqueeze'..... Then you mentioned it. I have used it with the moondog, works well. The flares at the end is where it comes into its own, they look great, you did well on your flare hunting expedition.

Ya I guess, but honestly everyone is going to have the same look and I just feel that's bad for the craft all around. But you're right, different story and personality, same flares I guess. Strange that JJ gets so much flack for his flares (all shot on ACTUAL anamorphic lenses) and that's what mobile is doing here. THAT said, NO hate towards moment, they're doing it right IMHO and reaching a market. Something about the trends of teach everybody the same thing has started water down the craft for me a bit.

First: Filmic Pro crashes all the time (as the comments in the app store shows). I gave mine back after corresponding three times with the (very kind) support which can‘t help. I hope there are other apps for filming with the anamorphic lens. Second: I would love if you make a short video for not-Premiere users. (We are more than just a few!) Third: I‘m stoked. You guys from Moment do awesome things and your support is just WOW!

What phone are you using? I know that if the phone is too slow to process, the app will have problems. I used to have problems with my iPhone 6 plus not processing the file fast enough in Filmic (weird app issues). But my new iPhone X is fine when desqueezing anamorphic footage on the fly.

As always, super cool video. Nice to see you hooking up with others like Sarah. I wonder if it would be possible to use the anamorphic lens to shoot video in 16/9 aspect ratio using the full size of the sensor, like you did with the picture. Obviously more pixels if less cinematic, yet 16/9 isn't bad at all. I don't think the iPhone lets you use the full sensor to shoot video. That would be nice with the anamorphic lens, though. What do you think?

Hi - thanks - great vlog as usual - I asked Filmic Pro about getting 50fps so as I could shoot 25fps (PAL region UK avoids flickering lights) they said it won't add it to my Pixel 2 as its not native - bummer because 30fps is useless here.

Of course it was.... Buyer of this MOMENT Lens will be so so soooo sorry..... Soon they will all realize the bad glass they bought, and how bad the optical engineering is, which went into this lens. Basically it is made by skateboarder guys, who are not even real skateboarders. ....then they will sell this MOMENT "ANA" LENS, in order to buy the Moondoglabs lens, which is made by the ex Zeiss and Schneider and Kodak optical engineers who used to design and manufacturer the real Anamorphic ones for the Movie industry, So actual optical engineers who constructed 100'000 $ lenses for the ARRI cameras out there and the PANAVISONS, ..... Time will prove me to be right...just wait it out... Hahahaha.... the Comparison Testing reviews and the KZbin videos will be soon out, and they will go viral, for they will show the actual "Glas Quality difference" between this Moment Lens, the Moondoglabs Lens, the Beastgrip one, the Kapkur Anamorphic Lens HD 4K 1.33X , etc etc,.... all of these are cell phone anamorphic lenses already on the market. The only one which will shine from these TESTS will be the Moondoglabs one... once viewers and owners and pre-owners will see it, they will sell or cancel the Moment Lens orders...
