when u used the critical reader book and worked on the practice questions at the end of the chapter for those u got wrong do u have to take notes ? i just do the questions check the answers and for those i got wrong read the explanations and see how i got it wrong

Is the SAT Kaplan a good book to prepare?

Please see this video on my SAT book recommendations: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHqTeqCdmLWaorc. In general, I don't recommend books from big publishers like Kaplan. The only exception is if you have already exhausted all official practice exams from the College Board and you have a good handle on real SAT questions. That way, you'll be able to recognize when a question isn't realistic.

I have to study for sat and IELTS and I decided to start with IELTS and a part of sat but I don’t know what to start with .. is it okay to start with math ? As I study English for IELTS at the same time?

Thanks for watching my video! I don't think the reading level of the Critical Reader book is too high for an 8th grader. However, I'd recommend younger students focus more on reading for enjoyment rather than strictly for the SAT.

If you don't already have an earlier edition, then I would pick up the newest one.

Like you have recommended, I purchased the newest edition of the Critical Reader Reading book and I came across the part where the author tells me to take a full-length diagnostic test from The Official SAT Study Guide(2020 edition). I'm guessing this is probably to help me identify my weaknesses that I can focus on with the author's book. What I'm really confused about is whether the SAT official Study Guide and official Practice Exam is the same thing or different. Whether they are same or not, if I am supposed to go to a specific page, where can I find it on the College Board website? Is the Study Guide not even on the College Board and I have to purchase another book? I am really, really confused and looking forward to seeing your reply.

I’m planning on getting the books you recommended (college panda and erica meltzer). Would it be beneficial to read the chapters and then apply that to khan acadrmy practice questions? I plan on studying this summer before my junior year so I have a couple or months before the sat!

Hi does the college panda book for sat writing include everything u need to know for the sat ? i also found one on prep scholar blog and i’m not sure what to use. it’s called the complete prep guide to sat writing

I have it they give you tips and practice questions but they don’t provide explanations for the answer choices so I don’t think that 1 book is enough

If you're referring to the Erica Meltzer book, you'll want to use the edition that targets the "New SAT" aka post-2016 SAT.

Since Critical Reader isn’t a good work book, what would you recommend for practicing for the reading section. Khan Academy?

Khan Academy provides some extra reading exercises. College Board's official practice exams also offer lots of good practice. And don't forget about reading good old fashioned books and high quality publications to boost your overall comprehension skills.

I recommend this book to everyone looking to improve his SAT reading score. Do keep in mind that this book teaches question-answering techniques, but it doesn't replace reading books and articles. If your reading score is low, it's important to prioritize improving your overall comprehension by building a reading habit.
