In Example 3, I think it's easier to use -b/2a to solve for the x-value of the vertex. Since the equation is already in standard form, we see that b = 2 and a = 1, so -b/2a = -1. Of choice C & D (the only two in vertex form), only choice D has an x-intercept of -1 for the vertex (choice C has the wrong sign). Most of my students prefer not to complete the square if they don't have to!

Hi Jen! Can you review the Rocketbook Flashcards (Cloud Cards) and App? I found the Study Mode in the app for the Cloud Cards unacceptable for flashcard use. You can write and draw on the reusable Cloud Cards which I like. But the app is so weak. When in Study Mode, the flashcards are displayed in the app in the same order as you scanned them. The same side (front) is always showed first. No randomness in mixing the order of the cards. No randomness in showing the back first or the front first. No tracking of the correctness.

i can't find the sat section the only section available is digtail sat and it does not have the tests shown in the video

Short answer its almost impossible to find the singular marble that weighs different. If you weight 4 and 4 and they are equal then that has to be the first bit of luck Then if you weight the second time 3 and 3 and you hit you know the 4th is left, if its off weight again you have 1 more weigh where you take out 1 marble from each side leaving 2 on each side, if it weighs even you know it was the second marble you left out. If its un even again you have no more chances. It can be found with a bit of luck but if luck isnt on your side then the best you can do is be left with 2 possiblities

This ain’t it. At about 4:10 you start wasting moves to try and find out which marble is light, but the entire time you had a heavy marble on the left side. There is a solution to this but this is not it.

I find during writing, when my forearm is resting on the page, it may smudges the ink writing. Other time, when closes the book, it will leave some smudges onto the next page. It will smudges easily if you have sweaty hands. As the erasable is due to heat and wetness 😅
