Honestly, the first tip is super helpful. It actually helped me a lot with a passage during practice. It was about seeds and their natal soil. Originally, I was like "wtf, who cares about seeds" then I was like "oh, damn, this is actually really cool concept, I want to know more"

Then you should many novel or just try to understand the main point like if you don’t get it , then read first paragraph again to get the simple gist of the passage and read the conclusion and skim other paragraph. With this you will what’s the author want to say. When you are reading try to get a sound inside your head like ,”oh!, this paragraph means this or that “. Mainly read the topic and make it sound interesting. Trick your brain . Think something like wow this looks interesting, Ahhhh I wanna know about this more and you will understand way clearly and more.
