Being too busy - does it seem like time flies, one day you were in your twenties and now you are in your fifties wondering where did the time go? Being too busy distorts our long-term sense of time which can lead to depression or regrets when we get older - slow down and smell the roses.

Thank you Matthew. This is a great reminder of our nature, not only soul but body too. Quite often I get caught up with the inadequacies of my spiritual life, leading me to be hyper focused on nothing but it. This I have learned can also become a form of gluttony, spiritual gluttony! Who would have thought that this could even be possible? Well, those enemies of humanity know full well, my opinion is that the demon of business especially works on life imbalances, with these subtle tactics such as hyper focus. As for negativity, I feel like I let "the guy downstairs", get the best of my emotions and I lose optimism. It's one thing to be overconfident and delusional. It's another thing to be a "Debby Downer". I need to really practice faith, hope, and charity as consistently as possible. The Lord knows our struggles, but we gotta keep fighting 'til the end. As I said in another reflection, Covid brought the best in me. Reminder, I wasn't afflicted with the virus. Rather, the cancellations and closures of places and events allowed me the opportunity to "reset my life" and focus on God more when I got "too busy". God Bless. - Juls
