Exactly. Children are totally defenseless. How can a human heart bring an action of violence or death to a child knowing they can't defend themselves. I'll never understand. I don't judge others cuz the heart is desperately wicked but to kill a child?? 😢😢 I don't get it.

That first story reminds me of the Dennis Martin disappearance. In 1969 at the age of 6 he disappeared on a family trip to the Great Smoky Mountain park in Tennessee. Eye witnesses said they saw a man running holding something red over his shoulder & jumped into a white car. Dennis Martin was wearing a red jacket. The search effort was the most extensive in the park's history, involving 1,400 searchers & covered a 56 square mile area. He was never found.

The first story could also be looked at in a totally different way. What if the child would have drowned if he hadn't been scooped up and carried over, possibly by an angel? He wasn't scared our harmed and was just far enough away to hear his father when he came looking ❤

Also, could have been a totally normal random dude who thought the kid was abandoned and was trying to help 😯 And when he heard the dad yelping figured 'Yeah I'll let dad take care of this and scedaddle. Dude might have a gun. I'm not trying to die over being a good Samaritan.' Hard to say. But I don't blame the father for being chilled to the bone over all of this.

The Mormon family story was nearly identical to what happened between me and my ex. He was a nutjob and I was convinced he was going to kill either me, my daughter, or all of us! He even cut and pasted my diaries, documenting his abuse of us, so the parts where I defended us were all that was left. This of course made it look like I was attacking him and not the other way around. Luckily my doctor, who was the expert witness to my injuries from him, demanded to see the real diaries and not the cut-and-paste version! When the real diaries were presented my ex was slapped with domestic violence charges. That story brought all that back again. I guess most abusers are the same or similar in how they abuse. I too wasn't allowed to see my family and friends. I was to go out of the compound to earn money to support the family and then I had to go right home!! It was like a prison! I'm just grateful we got out alive. I feel sooooooooo sorry for those who don't get out alive. God bless their souls!!

Keep trying as long as you are breathing, and see that as useless as you may feel, remember that the world would be different without you in it. jumping in to say it really is the weirdest sensation to be bleeding that much in the cold. I'll never forget I was out in the woods behind my house collecting sticks and being stupid with my knife and i ended up cutting the top of my thumb down the middle (fortunately it really was right in the middle and my bone stopped the knife). but it was like 30 something degrees and I was walking up the hill with my hands in a cupping shape and like feeling the hot blood being cupped in my palms compared to the cold air on the backs of my hands just will never leave me.

I don’t know why but the first story is pissing me off a little. Why did the guy think it would be okay to leave his 4 year old in the care of his (7?) year old? I barely remember being 7, but I definitely wasn’t in the position to be left alone, never mind look after another child. I think this is common for most children and why experts and laws don’t recommend babysitting for children under the age of 13.

This is what I was thinking too! Why were both parents angry at the 7yr old child, as though she could prevent an abduction? It's not her job to look after her brother, it's her job to be a kid and happily make little snowmen, like she was doing. Irritated the hell out of me.

Love the way that kids are blown away from snow in Alberta, when we get more snow than Switzerland, in Australia.

Maaaaaaaaaan lets read out did himself with these stories. I was so captivated. There first story with the little boy by the lake I think that the boy feel into the lake and a gaurdian helped him out because why wouldn't he have just said a man took me across the lake. Third story took me for a loop It just got progressively worse. It's crazy how the father took a long oath to ruin his children's lives like he was the devil reincarnated. And the the son end up giving in then the ending was unimaginable. That's why they say truth is crazier then fiction.

Not the first guy blaming his daughter (A CHILD) instead of owning up to being a terrible parent who doesn't watch their kids 😳🙄

This, it rubbed me the wrong way- there is no reason the man should have made his young daughter responsible for his four year old son, and then the mother’s reaction by screaming at her that clearly distressed girl was even more awful! Terrible parents, and I truly feel for the girl for having the blame put on her when it was never her fault, poor dear.

This is a weird shot at men in a made up story… But to play along, I wonder where the Mother was during this rescue mission. I guess she’s not the first Mother to not care about her kid, right? lol

The mother also yelled at her as well, both are bad parents.
