1st story. Unprotected sex with a bargirl? Huge mistake! Girl: I don't like to work in the bar. Guy: sends money Girl: keeps working at the bar I knew girls with 3-5 "boyfriend " each of them thought he is the only one. Each of them sent money between 5000-20 000 baht/month. 50 k-60k / a month, 20 years ago...the whole family in Isaan had a good life.

Foreigners goes for the bar girls and isan ones because it’s easy access. I’m from the U.S. and went to Thailand for a solo trip. After the second day there, I got the Tinder app because there aren’t many social events/bars for gay women. I eventually matched with a women who stated she’s an Engineer which definitely caught my eyes. Back of mind, I thought she was lying but she ended up bringing me to her work place and was 100% legit. I got really lucky! She never once asked for money and works for everything she has. There are good women in Thailand but it’s like finding a needle in a haystack.

I don't agree with your statement "It's like finding a needle in a haystack" there's a big difference between bar girls ( prostitutes) and regular decent, Thai women. The majority of regular ladies in Thailand have very high decency standards, I have friends who are married with Thai women who have never worked in a bar in their lives.

great storytelling and great stories, I have had a long-distance relationship with a Thai girlfriend, she is a school teacher, she has never asked me for money and I never send any except maybe a few hundred baht for birthdays and Christmas etc. she calls me every day to tell me how much she loves me. yes, when I go to Thailand I pay for all our expenses as a gentleman, but I just thought I would say this so people don't think all Thai girls are untrustworthy and scammers.

Most of these stories have a recurring theme. A (nice) guy from the west goes to Thailand and gets scammed. I think we tend to project all of our hopes and wishes onto these (exotic) women, forgetting that people are the same everywhere. I've been to Thailand five times. And I have to say that the most beautiful women I've seen there worked at a private (Bangkok) hospital and a dental clinic. Both were doctors, probably Thai-Chinese. Amazingly beautiful women, porcelain skin, etc. Could I get a woman like that even if I had a lot of money. Probably not. Well, maybe if I was Elon Musk, but let's get real here. An average guy will have a really hard time meeting a single, never married, no-kids woman in Asia. But I do think that on average Asian ladies are more feminine and can be great partners. But everyone out there, please be careful!

If he had confronted her about her going out late at night and stuff like that she would have just made up a plausible excuse. So he should have just kicked her out and broken up because she was gone irregularly from their room? No normal person would do that with no evidence of any wrongdoing.

you live in a great place...years ago for me it was all beach beach beach...i guess i had my fair share throughout the years....since my last time in thailand 2020 6 month where we had extreme heat and not much rain ( climate change ,) plus forest burning i really enjoy the extrem cold...i found wim hof on the internet and got into long cold showers and long walks in the cold...

You’d think it would be common sense to not give away large amounts from the start of a “relationship”. Give it 6+ months to see if it’s at least a little bit real. But I guess people are lonely and a young girls attention is too tempting.

MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS ON THIS: Loneliness, depression, a feeling of rejection, a messy divorce, mental health issues, and a lack of communication skills, no self esteem, a lack of judgment and a lack of confidence; the list goes on and on. Many guys do not go into bars to find love and live happily ever after with their one in a million good bar-girl. They find that they are in the company of a pretty, young girl who showers them with affection and the girl seems to take a genuine interest in them which gives them a feeling of temporary happiness and total blindness to the real situation in front of them. The bar-girls are charming, cunning and good at what they do (They have years of practice and 100’s of victims) it is so, so easy for these kinds of guys to be sucked into a situation they did not plan and end up on a down would spiral with no hope of return.

Great video as always Peter I know there is an element of naivety with these guys , with the way they fall victim to Thai bar girls. But I admit I feel very sorry for them. I myself would not be to quick to judge because I get the feeling that with all the knowledge and fore sight in the world , when in the situation I think even the most hardened will weaken .
