Peter I’ve always found Thai people to be good hearted. I even fell asleep in a unregistered taxi and when I arrived at The new Bangkok airport I accidentally left my wallet that was between my legs in the taxi. When I discovered that my wallet was missing and after hearing the horror stories that the tourist police believed would happen. The Unregistered taxi driver who was always hanging out in front of the hotel I stayed at what is there. Even after I had use his service to go to the airport. After calling the hotel and the hotel contacting the taxi driver. He said yeah yeah your wallet is here I just need to pay another taxi fare for him to bring it to me at the airport. He didn’t scam me. I legitimately left it on the seat. My own fault. After he arrives at the airport I gave him the 2500 Baht that was still in the wallet at the tim. There are many many good people in Thailand and I would never lose faith in them.

Nice presentation again. Reminds me of a bar we were in in Southern India. I left my pack inside. It contained everything plus other people's passports. Stuff included money passports etc. 30' from the place, I felt a tug on my shirt and a young indian guy handed me this pack that I owned for years. Nothing missing.

Hi Peter, I listened many of your clips these days, which are very dictated to me. Some of the them sound great with happy endings with just starting of the marriage in the western world. But with my understanding and life experiences, they are just starting the journey of the adventure. Wherever in west or east these facades relationships fallen apart soon or later. The last one remains me a lot, remembered my previous experiences in Soviet Qin, quite samuliar manner of the ladies, who are very generous at the beginning with attitude and manner, humble and feminine, but later when you got into the Relationship, known you are depends on her sex, living in together or get married at the end which was just starting of the digging and money driving. In the female priority west society like down under here. I heard and met many these kind of family oriented good men,who work hard athrough his life to pay off the house, grown up the kids, put income into family account, then when they get old, wife’s don’t have sex driven for men, or just fed up with the family life, the husbands has been divorced out, kicked off from their homes, had to leave their savings to the ex and kids. So committed to any relationship is risky, only way is that the man knows how to control and manage the money and property as business to be protected by theorem know. As real Buddhism ideology, never put your self emotionally into any business, relationship, family or anything.Just be dependent on your own, means Budda. Which is quite interesting in Buddhism oriented country Thai where most ladies are materialistic which I would like to research.

Hahaha. Having a good laugh listening to your explanation about why drinks are "expensive" in go-go bars. You have said it a number of times in previous videos; it should have been "common sense"; and here you are, patiently explaining "it's for the whole package". Geez - I really wonder who complains about it.... what were they expecting? The price of drinks cheaper than 7-11?

Great stories as always. Liked the Om one . He made the right choice in the end LDR,s are not for the faint hearted and can end badly. The Indian one was very good too. I watched another channel recently about beach road and unfortunatly it did focus on groups of 4 or 5 guys trawling for a cheap shared experience even quoting prices offered by the men. I didnt enjoy it and didnt watch till the end. It happens I know but it just seemed wrong to focus on this and made out all men of a certain nationality were all the same. All countries have their share of " Cheapo Mongers" Still dislike that word. Not a label I would wear with pride thats for sure. But good one Pete very interesting stories. Another moral of the hangover story comes to mind: don't have a big night on the booze the night before a big road trip! By the way, I'd be interested to know how you found the Omni Tower - I stayed there about 9 years ago, and the building was falling apart. One night, I heard a strange noise just outside my room - I ignored it for a while, but finally got up to investigate: a pipe in the wall had burst, and the floor of my kitchen was flooded! The carpet on the other side of the wall (in the hallway) was also soaked. So at some ungodly hour of the morning, I had to go down to reception, explain the situation and get transferred to another room.

Hey Peter in your first story it was Aus 250,000.00 not 25K - which is a lot of money. Thai's can be the most honest people. Like you Peter I'm an organiser so I'm ready weeks in advance. I use to catch the train down to Hua Hin then the bus back. Now that the station has moved out to Mo Chit, I catch the mini van both ways from Ekamai. That man who spent time with Oom was very very generous. Great that your channel and the stories that people share help other travellers - well done!

Glad to hear the Indian man had a great experience altogether. I recently had a wonderful evening in Vietnam that almost didn’t happen because the woman thought I was Indian (my friend, a local, would later explain) due to my complexion. Not knowing any of this when I met her, how she came across almost made me give her return cab fare and call it a night. I’m glad we gave each other the benefit of the doubt and it turn out well.

@@ThailandBound We walked in the area besides the line, on the track itself, stopped in the snack and drink places, spent quite a bit of time in the Jeath Museum, which I found very atmospheric too. I wasn't aware that the volunteer labourers' deaths so much outnumbered the POW's. My late grandma's [cousin I think, not totally sure of the relationship- known to my mother as Uncle Alf- he was just 18 when he joined to army, and not much older when he arrived in the far east] was one of the POW's, had to undergo an amputation of one leg without anaesthetic by Austrlian doctor, which saved his life, but left him with a wooden leg, and younger members of the family who didn't meet him so often (I never did in fact) would try to guess from his movements which was his wooden leg. We also visited the cemetery, a few minutes drive from the site of the railway itself. I noticed in spite of Alf's relative youth on arrival, that there did not seem to be many under the age of 22 buried there. I'm guess it was a strategy to keep the younger soldiers closer to home in the European conflict, and send those with a few years more experience to the Far East. Can anyone with more knowledge confirm this or otherwise?

Talking about the scams, half of my coworkers are divorced. I'm living in Ireland. Many of them paid mortgages and then left a house for women. Two of them did it twice... Another half are living with divorced women who have children from previous marriage, which means going to work for someone's children instead of spending money on yourself. 😂 They have never been to Thailand and for weeks and weeks are joking about the ladyboys when I tell them that I'm going to Thailand again 😂 They know nothing else about Thailand except of ladyboys... what a miserable people to be around 😂

Why do guys create so much self-harm through concerning over the question whether a girl is either genuine or just doing it for the money? Why not both, or neither, as in the possibility of some other reason or reasons, or none? How much happens in our lives, the reason for which we don't or can not know? I guess guys who indulge such questions are vainly attempting to fill a hole created by their perceived lack of self-worth. It is not a woman's job to fill that hole. The benefit of not pondering such questions is that a man may fully engage and enjoy the experience, and then move on. This also provides the woman with self-assured company within which she may be at her best.

Everyone understands their time isn't free. Scams refer to extra stuff they do like stealing money from you or lying to get money from you. None of these are required.

@@ThailandBound Becacause I don't agree with the Covidiots. It's a narrative pushed by the MSM. I am not vaxxed. Never will be. That makes me a persona non grata to Thailand. I never cared about anything once I was in Thailand, let alone hand sanatizer. If that is the new black, I am happy that I am never going to Thailand ever again. The new normal is a disgrace.
