I speak English, Spanish, Thai, Isaan Thai and most important, Bar girl Thai. When they say "I am single", that means they do have a boyfriend (Thai or farang) . The best way to enjoy Thailand is to NEVER LISTEN TO A THAI GIRL. Their words are merely to mislead you. Just enjoy the time with them and move on to the next lady.

Girls in Go Go Bars are there to make money from every guy that walks in...its business... we all know this... you would never fall in love with a hooker from your own country so why on earth would you do it with a Thai lady that works in this environment... dont get me wrong there are many lovely Thai ladies but never fall for one that works in a bar... have fun short time and move on, never get attached to a bar girl... NUMBER 1 RULE.

Had a mate who owned a bar some years ago and he used to help the girls write letters to their boyfriends abroad. Most of them had several. Letters were stock standard with mum is ill, I don't want to work in bar but have no money so I have to....hint hint The real fun was when a couple of the boyfriends showed up for holiday at the same time...

I enjoyed the first story very much. I was once young at gullible especially when it's a sexy young woman who makes you feel special. He learned a big lesson about life. I think the best way to do this and take it on board is to go steady with this girl when ur over in thailand, rekindle when u go back but not marry, each time when u go back home forget it for the moment, sort of a friends with benefits sorta thing but not shell out a shit load of money in the process

Peter, that's good news about the renewed stream of stories. I have a suggestion. Many of us don't know much about the geography of Thailand except for a few of the famous places often mentioned in your stories or commentary. Many times I have wished that I could investigate the location of a place mentioned, just to get a general idea of the landscape and distance from where the story is taking place. Could you put the lesser known place names on the screen where they are brought up in the story. In that way, those of us who are "culturally deprived" can look them up and put them in a better geographic perspective. You are in charge so I stand with your decision on this.
