Just found your channel and I must say very good job! I have been working with Tekla for 3 years now and this is the first time I have come across some useful info. Thank you very much! If you are available could you share your knowledge on something I have been struggling to fix. Ill try and explain in a short text.. Is there a way to freeze all the objects so that their mark numbers won't change after numbering the model? Its a bit of a problem as we produce hundreds of drawings for fabrication and we need that mark number to stay the same even if the objects is modified. If you have the time it will be very appreciated!

Thumbs up, how do you activate prospective in the 3D view? And how do you add shadows?

Perspective view is found in the View Properties dialog (under "Projection"). The shadows come from enabling DirectX rendering (found in File -> Settings for v2016 and up).

My favorite tool was always the "AutoDrawing" once you set it up right drawings need minimal editing. Can't find it in version 2016 though.

i'm using 20 versionI so i pinned my tool bar in the middle and 3/4 to the top of the main screen so its always handy whe i needed

Thanks for watching! To find the surface areas in Tekla Structures 2016 and up, use "Custom Inquiry" (found by typing "Custom Inquiry" in the Quick Launch box or use the Inquire Objects pull-down menu on the left end of the ribbon). From there, select the report type "Areas".

Do you have anything as far as setting up auto dimensions in your drawings? I just want my dimensions to auto generate and not have to manually dimension everything.

Thank you for the question! Sorry, unfortunately, I don't have anything on that. Mainly because I don't generally use Tekla Structures to automatically dimension my drawings. However, for some things like single-part-drawings, I'll let TS dimension them up and then I'll keep the ones I want and discard the ones I don't. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Well, looks like you have some good tips. Do you have any other things on here? If so what is the link to your tutorials? As we know Tekla help is very difficult to search unless you use specific Tekla language.

How can i remove Bolt or Hole Decimal in us environment (in drawing hole shown 22.00 Ø but i want to see it 20 Ø (tekla 18 version shown it 20 Ø, but not in above version)). Is it posible in us environment? Can you help me? Sorry for ask this question here.

Try going to "Options -> Units and decimals" and change the Length decimal to 0.

Try this: On the drawing, double-click on the bolt/hole note to open its properties. In the "Elements in mark" box (on the Content tab), select ">" or ">" and the "Units" box will appear in the lower-right of the dialog. Change the Format to "###".

Lot of thanks man. I'm happy. But when select " on elements mark" then it counts 22.00 and also not appear unit option. I think it's not working for content.

You should be able to disable tooltips by unchecking them in the settings. I don't know of any other way to disable them.

For 17.1 thru 21.1, see this from the TUA -> teklastructures.support.tekla.com/en/support-articles/copying-saved-toolbars-and-shortcuts-new-computer-or-version For TS2016, from the TUA: "You can copy the file KeyboardShortcuts.xml if you want to copy the keyboard shortcuts to another computer, for instance you computer at home. The shortcut file is saved in ..:\Users\\AppData\Local\Trimble\TeklaStructures\2016\Settings." For TS2016i and 2017, see this from the TUA -> teklastructures.support.tekla.com/2016i/en/gen_customize_keyboard_shortcuts Hope that helps!
