Such wonderful ideas and excellent examples! My favorite is tied between the moon (because of the subject matter and that gorgeous blue color) and the Hydrandea Imprints that are so gorgeous and colorful. Thank you for mentioning the pencil will still erase after putting masking fluid over it - for some reason, I thought it wouldn't erase well after that. And thank you for the no creepy crawly notice up front so I didn't have to look away or figure out how to bribe Gimlet to go into a protective hunter mode ;)

Hello Michelle! Commenting so YT boosts this video for you. This is one of your most enjoyable videos, because I love dandelions and spider WEBS, but not spiders. I enjoy watching how different artists approach the same thing, and have been getting back to watercolours after doing acrylics for many years, but with different ideas. (Like wanting to do more loose and ephemeral or dreamlike paintings) Do you have videos in that area? Also: I'd be fascinated to see your studio, is there any chance you could do a video showing it and maybe explaining why it's laid out the way it is? I ask because I'm waiting for my husband to finish the walls etc in the room before I get the chance to put furniture and all my art stuff in there, and create a haven. So I love looking at other people's studios, to see how they've done it. Pretty please? (Also, I'm just plain nosy!)

The masking fluid sold at my local discount store has separated in the bottle. There's a layer of clear fluid and a layer that is opaque. Would the bottle just need a good shake or has the masking fluid gone off? I've been reluctant to buy masking fluid, even from a reputable art supply store, because I'm concerned about shelf life after seeing the separated stuff. Thank you, Michelle! ❤
@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber7 ай бұрын
It does go off fairly quickly and smells appalling. Unfortunately a lot of places keep it for ages. An online retailer with a high turnover may be a safer bet.
@ralphherrick5967 ай бұрын
Does the fluid dry as your working with it in the container?
@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber7 ай бұрын
It dries on the applicator and needs to be peeled off. It's a good idea to keep the lid on the bottle and decant a little or it may form a skin.

Why do you spell 'colour' the American way i.e. without the 'u'? I'm sure you have a lot of American viewers but you also have a lot of British viewers too. Also, Americans make videos that are viewed by British people but they don't alter their spelling to suit us and nor would i expect them to.
@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber6 ай бұрын
Search engine optimization. Or optimisation if you prefer 😉
@joehurst6 ай бұрын
@@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber Spelling it with a 'u' wouldn't make much - if any - difference in that regard. I've just searched for "coloured pencil drawings" and the first 6 results were spelt 'colored'. In fact, most of the results were spelt 'colored'.
@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber6 ай бұрын
@@joehurst doesn't that just prove my point? My SEO is tailored to my audience and KZbin analytics. Your own search results will be biased towards your own content consumption and cannot be used to analyse my results. But thanks for taking an interest 🙂
@joehurst6 ай бұрын
@@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber Well there is another reason why I think you're catering to your American audience and that is because you not only spell it 'color'/'colored' in the title of the videos but also in the video itself.
@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber6 ай бұрын
@@joehurst I never denied catering for my American audience, they are the majority of my audience, why wouldn't I cater to them. It doesn't stop British people understanding me. SEO is not just about titles Google also listens to audio and image recognition software even 'reads' graphics now. Catering to my majority audience simply makes sense.
