If you use it pre-boil, and you want to use it from start to end, will pre-boil addition handle the other two? (Obviously, starter is a second wort, mostly) In other words: what makes it disappear, what to be aware when you already added it?

100% Same thing with a bit of dry malt extact and extra packs of dry yeast. Just in case.

Will this product effect Head Retention of finished beer?

It has no effect on head retention and drops out of suspension eventually (even quick with cold crash) to be left behind when racking to bottle or keg.
