You are so right. Every young van-lifer has a build with no bathroom, no place to sit or lounge and no useable fridge or A/C, but they always have a gear garage and a kitchen big enough to film the Great British Bake Off. Is the ability to brew espresso going to help you at 2AM with tummy issues?

LOVE that van! Love the Ford E series, and a 4x4 350? Now you're talkin'! I removed the AC roof unit from my E250 extended hitop also which left an enormous hole in the roof. So, I rebuilt the roof myself. Had to look pretty close to see it LOL! I removed the back door window and put my Maxx Air Fan in there. Then I Raptor lined the entire van top to bottom, and built out the inside. Loved that van like it was my baby!!

I love what you've done with the van. I am handicapped but able to do some stuff. I bought a 2003 e 350 ford club wagon van set up as maintenance , repair, etc. The previous owner started converting it into a vanning across the U.S.A. build. Life happened and he had to sell it. Well I just worked with what he did inside. Once I got it to where it was working out for me doing some side jobs when not in too much pain. Than my land lord jacked up my rent to where it was too much for me. Than I had to scramble to move everything around so I could live in it and also work out of it. All this happened quickly and I soon realized a male needs very little to survive. So in 2 months or so I will be living and doing side jobs out of it. This is set up as a working and sleeping vehicle. I do a lot of tinkering around so adding an adjusting to make things do doesn't bother me. I am keeping the outside of the van to look stock and stealthy so that I can park almost anywhere and it will blend in. I know every van build is unique to the individual needs and not everybody might not like it but being now single and limited movements this will work out for me. My bathroom is a bucket called the "sit n shit". Then the coffee creamer container is for # 1. Showering is every 2-3 or 4 days, truck stops or the gym. I'm learning as I go. It would have been nice to have time and money to make a nicer unit but, this is going to work out for me. When I get it set I'll send a few pictures. Again, nice work. Love how you gutted the van and worked everything to fit. Also made with the knowledge that things do break and need repair. You made your replaceable parts accessible when completed.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I believe change is sometimes a catalyst for the development of a better you. It will be some tough times, but it sounds like you have a plan. Regarding vans - yes, the near infinite customization of a camper van perhaps is only topped by true art.

I love the fact that it is a "Sleeper," doesn't look like much, but AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL INSIDE!! The other things that won me over were the 4 wheel drive and the added ground clearance. But, the interior STOLE MY BREATH AND HEART!!! WOW!!! You have done a ton of amazing work and designing to attain a great RV! I have always dreamed of living in a log cabin so you won my heart right off the bat! Having AC that runs off solar is the greatest!!! You have attained a beautiful and well thought out build to meet all needs and "what ifs."

@@EndgameCampersBack in the "old days" the term "sleeper" was meant for a car that looked like it was on its last leg, but under the hood was an extremely high powered performance engine that could shut down any vehicle leaving a light and out run any other vehicle. LOL! Ahhhhh! The memories.

Oh Goodness! What a great video! I have a 2006 Ford E350 with a Hi-top that I am in a constant state of remodeling as I see fit. Yes I'm a van lifer. I have solar, battery bank, water tank, sink, DC re-fridge and most comforts of home. I have already had design changes in mind coming up in a few weeks. Edit: I just realized I should have listened more instead of commenting. My bad. To be correct, it’s only 4x4 (with locking diffs) if the transmission and front center and rear diff’s have been replaced. These came as 4x4 mod,ex, but open diffs, though depending on the year, it may have a limited slip rear differential.

Regardless of answers, I LOVE the job you did - some great ideas🥰and 400 watts of solar? 🤪YESSS!🤪 Now, I have some questions? 1. What solar panels did you use? 2. Why did you use a 5000 BTU A/C unit -- did you need that size to cool the inside space? 3. Why did you put the tire and A/C on the doors you did -- doesn't that make it blow over your head at night? 4. How is the A/C intake & exhaust separated in the box -- you said it was, but how? 5. What is the weight distribution related to the axles (forward.over.behind) with the batteries located passenger-aft? 6. Would love to know more about your reclining/rotating passenger seat...make and how it was done? Maybe another time? Again, kewl rig - thanks!😍

Smaller "Open Road" class A motorhomes in the mid/late '70s had a unique wet bath setup to where the sink & commode were built into the front & rear walls of the shower & folded down out of the walls. To drain or flush, just close the fold down assembly. Made for a roomier shower.

Great looking build . I was looking at the back doors and there are holes in them . Might not hurt to add some insulation in those and put covers over the holes in the doors . Just a thought. More insulation can't hurt plus it may cut down on outside noise even more . If I had one of those I'd definately take it winter camping . Just something about doing that and seeing the snow out the windows.

Oh yea, at my age I could live in there until I die easily. I used to be a truck driver and the sleepers back then were just a narrow bed, nothing else. I've lived in my car and my van so I could live pretty much anywhere.That van is like a small house. Nice, you did a good job on it.
