Part 1/9 Just The Beginning.
We take on the Kimberley and start our long journey at Broome Western Australia by spending a few days exploring the western coastline and finding some great campsites.
In the coming episodes we will be heading to the croc park and then heading for the Munja trk is some of the remote Kimberley regions. This is just the beginning...

All vehicles creak off-road. You hear the jeep more since the engine is a lot quieter than the diesel Toyota’s

towing a tinnie i recommend same tire and rims as the cruiser and consider a 2 axle option for the boat trailer traversing certain areas with the wrong size tyres may lead to trailer damage, this is also why i generally recommend a full exoskeleton roll cage because it gives you anchor points for the boat.. this is the exact setup my grandfather had on his 80 series cruiser... I also learn that it isn't a good idea to try and jack a 4x4 by its carcus because you may damage the chassis

Great start to the series...... Can't wait to get up that way...... I noticed that a couple of the Cruisers are running parabolic rear leaf springs. Keen on hearing how they perform as I haven't heard great reports of them on other makes of vehicles....

trim those trailer fenders, swap it from spring under to spring over axle and then bump those tires up a size or two. makes towing offroad so much more pleasant

Great start to the big adventure! The only thing I feel you need to work on now is sound for conversations around camp etc as its very quiet. Do you use a shot gun mic? possibly switch to the lapel style for around camp so you can record easier away from the camera then just match it together in post production?

+blackers10 in agree with you there. It’s something that won’t happen over night but I will look into it. Chaos is the issue especially after a long days off-roading as fatigue sets in and the guys are still learning to use the gear. Audio is very important. Had a ton of issues with the GoPro 5 it’s the worst camera so far when it comes to sound! The worst hands down

Ronny Dahl the best part is, learning and experience as you go is what it’s all about! It makes for a more organic and real experience and really it’s your adventure you choose to share with us not something being produced for max marketability with a film crew who already know all these things! Maybe see if the guys from expedition overland have any suggestions as cinematography etc is their background and they film run and gun like you. It’s awesome how far you have come and I look forward to seeing how much further you go!
