I have heard that some people will put a manual cut off switch on their electric cooling fans to prevent them coming on during water crossings. You just have to remember to turn them off and on before and after.

That shows another reason why roof tents are good and do work , you don’t need a camp site as such , you could have just pulled up on the track and set it up , I run one on a defender and love it but yes I’ve got to agree they are a bit of a pain to pack up in the morning , They do keep you up and off the ground which in your neck of the woods has got to be good , salties ! Not a big problem in the uk , great video have fun guys
@Alan.livingston
@Alan.livingston 6 жыл бұрын
Diana Carroll Personally I still stick with the swag because the roof top tent is ten times the weight, weight that is up high, and a huge aerodynamic drag. It probably wouldn’t be such a concern if the distances were short but a single trip is easily two thousand km or more and that is a lot of extra diesel. Add that to the purchase price difference and the convenience starts to lose some of its appeal. Having said that it would be really nice to be up off the ground sometimes.

The story is the that two white blokes grew crops of marijuana all along the creek back in the 60's and a group of stockmen droving cattle from Pantijan station back down to Mt Elizabeth station stumbled across it, hence the name marijuana creek

I know a bloke who owns a Jeep and he’s constantly making excuses for it when things go wrong with it or break. He has to overcompensate for his Jeep. The damn bugger takes 50kg in spare parts plus a full comprehensive tool kit in the boot of it whenever we go fourbying somewhere because it breaks stuff and breaks down all the time.

Have you thought maybe sometime you should flip the leaf spring? Have them riding on top of the axle not under, help give you clearance. I know people run them under to help with axlewrap.
@silentbob267
@silentbob267 6 жыл бұрын
Up here in the U.S. a lot of trucks come with the springs on top and keep it that way when lifted. The axle wrap can be mitigated with a set of ladder bars or traction bars. I don't know how hard it would be to do on one of these or how much it would cost but if easy and cheap enough it would get you a little extra clearance.
