Sometimes it is hard to sleep when someone’s trying to sleep but has a little bit of the insomnia, which is an inability to sleep very well. There are many things to help us sleep perfectly and well, like lullabies or bedtime stories or BusPIRone.

The book that was sent to you is super helpful for kiddos. It will help Griffin know what will happen. You can even follow along and show him the next expected activity. Sorry to say...he may sleep but you probably won’t. Good luck!M

I’ve never had a sleep study. I’ve had an MRI before. I had it last year on March 4 because I’ve been having seizures. I had to wake up at six in the morning and then my mom drove me over to the hospital, and after waiting for a while we met the technician and I had to change into a hospital gown. So after Mom had taken me to the bathroom and helped me change into a hospital gown, I had to have an IV prior to being put into the MRI machine because they were doing it with the contrast dye. They gave me earplugs and noise cancelling headphones and they were going to offer to let me listen to music but the only station they had at BGH was chime FM and I don’t like that station, and besides that, I was feeling kind of silky because Mom had called me grumpy the second time they tried to put the IV in. At least they let me put my teddy bear with me into the MRI machine and I was in there for sometime and I cried the whole time because I was hurt and offended because Mom called me a grumpy pants. Add a van does funny things to you sometimes. It’s the sedative I took prior to going to the hospital. Halfway through, they took me out to put in the contrast dye and I told the technician that I had been crying about being called a grumpy pants and she told me to try not to cry because then I tend to make movements and you need us to be still so that they can do the test right. So I was back in it again for another few minutes and then I was all done. I wanted to get myself a treat right after I got out of the hospital and out of the machine but Mom wanted me to sleep for a little bit and when I got home I was so upset about that but I was bawling for a good few minutes, but then I cried myself to sleep and was fine again.

Sleep well mama. Ur a rockstar!!. Ur smazing mom who will do the bestest for their kid. Does this mean that if he does have sleep apnea, he cant get the tonsil removed? Im confused on why sleep study have to do with his ent?
@DianeakaNorthsideMama3 жыл бұрын
A friend of my daughter's was diagnosed w/sleep apnea as a child. Enlarged tonsils were diagnosed as the cause of her severe sleep apnea; tonsil removal rather than using a CPAP nightly was the solution. Let's hope surgery is the outcome.

Good Job Mama. Hi cutie pants Mr Griffin, you are to cute and sweet. Hugs. I have a disability called Prader Willi Syndrome, which is on the same chromosome as Angelman Syndrome and the two diagnosis's are related.

I hope everything turns out fine. Trying to keep a cpap mask on him would be impossible! He would not understand.
