Nice blog. Just a friendly correction, compost does not burn plants since it's completely broken down, and you can actually plant directly into it with no problem. Manure, on the other hand, can burn plants.

I always love what you do Joel , I enjoy seeing your beautiful homes, I say homes that one and the family house, thank you for loving nature. Just a suggestion , the weed and all the grass you're putting on one side, for good soil you burn the grass and you scatter the Ashes around your garden 🪴 I remember that's what we used to do back home. Otherwise I wish all the best dear Sister, your hard working and building is not easy but you will get there 🙏🏿❤

Jael! Keep going sis! I love watching your videos and I learn a thing or two. Don’t listen to the negative villagers or outdated rules that like you said we’re not pro women development. I am also breaking the norm in my home area and though it can be frustrating I am enjoying myself and forging ahead. Keep clapping for yourself cuz the blessings of development you have made are more than the discouragements. Your daughter is watching you and believe me on her eyes you are a superhero and she is also being modeled to be one. Usichoke rather keep up with the momentum.

Me too broke the rules and expectations, built on my mother's land and now enjoying my retirement in the village without listening to the villagers with their stereotypes. Thanks to our new Constitution that protects women from Traditional men.

Jambo Jael🥰. What a wonderful report/update! Everything is doing good and coming along so nicely..Great Job!💃🏾. Congrats on your first egg! You are such a hardworker! Your rewards will always be many! Where is the Picnic Table/Bench? You did such a great job in vanishing it. I must watch this video again because I don’t remember seeing it. I think the raised beds are going to work good for you because of the area being swampy! The cabbage plants looked so healthy. Your plan and vision is manifesting and that’s awesome! Continued blessings to you in all you place your hands to do. Mungu akubariki 💜🥰🙏🏾🌹🫶🏾🌺👩🏾🌾🌿

You talked of two extremes when its dry and when its rainy, make sure you use natural manure form cows/goats/chicken, it loosens the soil and you won't experience any more cracking.
