Hmmm, I almost teared when he said "If Victoria has alot on her plate, I know I just have to go hug her" I've been a single mum for such a long time now and there are so many times in my day when I am stressed and worried inside (finances, work blah blah blah) and the only thing I see in my head is for man to come and hug me in those times, sounds weak I know but I've never had that. Many IR couples don't discuss it, but it can be difficult, being in a long term IR relationship, especially if family and friends don't support it. It is good that you have the support of your family and close friends. I don't live in a very diverse area and it seems like all eyes are always on my boyfriend and I when we are out and about together. It gets annoying, because we are just a normal couple enjoying each other's company, we are not in our relationship to promote any social agenda. On another note, I am like Victoria and like to show affection, but my boyfriend is very receptive to my affection and doesn't push me away. But it could be cultural too, because my boyfriend is British (and I'm American).
