@theawfulangler I enjoy catching them. Big, strong, angry fish that let you know they're annoyed. Despite foshing for years, I only recently found out about the trick to flip them over.

As soon as you said Deganwy marina & I saw the boat Boutari I knew it was Simon & Gemma, I've been subscribed to their channel from the start of their restoration of Sarinda. I say yes to more boat fishing, it looks like a lot of fun. Hope you reach 10k subscribers to make it happen mate.

@@theawfulangler Let me know when you are serious, I can give you a low down, startup kit and costs etc. Me, well if i could fish in the UK (I live in Mexico) I would be rock fly fishing for bass and pollock as well as cruising estuaries for the most tricky bastards of all, mullet. No stinky bait!

Those rods are lovely I'm debating a 12 to 20lb for on the boat they weigh nothing. Fingers crossed that 10k comes soon and the boat soon after Alex.

It was a great rod. Supple enough for mackerel bashing and string enough for huss. I think I'd have a 6-10lb for mackerel/pollock, etc. The 15-20lb like I used here, for general fishing. Then 20-30lb for the big species.

@theawfulangler my friends bought the 20/30 but we've not been out yet for him to try it but it weighs nothing so feels like a lovely rod to use for wrecking.

For the strength the akios rods are ridiculously light. They have a new beach rod coming out, about 20mm diameter crazy light, I thought it would be another 2-4oz rated rod...nope 6-8oz 😳
