I'm doing early igcse in year 10 and honestly your videos are the only reason I managed to get on honours (85%+ average for entire year) role in my school this year. Hi Sola, I’m a student in year 10 going into year 11. Although I’m already halfway through the summer, I’m not sure if I should be spending my time learning new topics or solidifying what I’ve learnt already or both. I don't know if u remember this comment but I thought 'd tell u the good news as u helped me believe in myself during gcse exam season and I implemented a lot of your revision strategies in your videos. I get bullied a lot and picked on because I'm quite smart and stand out in my year group for being so different I'm trying to revise because I desperately want to leave my school and go to a new sixth form I feel like my school does nothing as a girl held my neck today and I was worried she would strangle it.I want to have the chance to restart at a new school and try to make new friends and be happy. Because I never feel happy at school more anxious about whether I'll get beat up today. Because of this I have the fear of not getting the grades for the sixth form I want to go so I feel worried when I sit every test. How do I overcome this? Update: I did it I got into the other sixth form which is a grammar and the students seem much more friendly there. I got nearly all 7s and above apart from maths which is 1 off a 7 so I'm getting it remarked but thank you so much for all the support you gave me.🤗

Hi Sola, Your video has been given me so much motivation to read exam questions and answers. However i failed my mocks in November 2022 and March 2023. which means i can’t do a levels but for a levels i wanted to do computer science, psychology and biology but it’s too hard. for my biology mocks in 2023 i got a grade 2 since i do foundation. i don’t know websites to go on or which books i can use because my dream was to become a scientist that has to do with biology. in my school for gcses we did not do psychology and computer science i only want to do them because i think it’s interesting. please can you make a video on how to be good at every subject. and is it possible to switch btec to a levels?

Hii sola i just got my gcse results and i got 4 7s and 6 grade 8s. I also want to do dentistry, but i was wondering if my grades put me at a disadvantage as i have no 9s? Do gcse grades matter a lot in uni applications or do they focus more on your a levels?

You did really good and got similar results to me also the grade boundaries were altered alot so many uni's will take that into consideration so it won't matter alot, and not many got nine's

You did amazing, well done! Grade 9s aren't really necessary, and they also focus a lot more on A Levels / UCAT / Interviews so be sure to bear that in mind

Hi Sola! I've been following you for a while and sat my UCAT today receiving a disappointing score of 2470 B1. I wanted to apply to Kings and Queen Mary's but I don't know what my chances are. There's so much information online and have no clue of what to do. Please let me know what unis I have a chance at. I have 999999986 gcses and should have at least an A*A*A predicted. Please let me know as I've been stressing all day.

Hi Lullaby, I'm sorry to hear you didn't achieve the grades you wanted :( Definitely research the universities and their UCAT priorities. Here's a really good summary on the different unis and how they use the ucat: www.medify.co.uk/blog/medical-schools-ucat-requirements#aberdeen-dentistry Some universities use a certain decile for their cutoff, so make sure you find out what decile you are when all the grades come out. This will probably be sometime in Sep/Oct. Hope this helps

hi sola i have a quick question. basically im in a bad situation where i got accepted to a grammar school but for some reason i really dont like it. id much rather go back to my own public school then there. and i want to do medicine. im scared that if i dont go i wont get in or idk just things like that. i just really wanted advice.

The impact of grammar schools on getting into medical school is very low nowadays, so long as you get the grades you need (which will require both self-teaching and engaging in class, homework and exam questions), you will be just as fine! It's all about putting in the effort and work :) Sometimes they are more likely to select students from public state schools as well to widen participation!
