Swede in the US here.Idk...whatever heroic acts from whatever country in war history Sabaton tells stories about,it makes me feel patriotic.But I think especially stories about the Polish people,these brave resilient men and women have been placed between a rock and a hardplace for centuries.Polska silna!❤🇵🇱

Sabaton did more to popularize Polish history in Poland than 90% of historians and politicians. Since then, people have started to look for and promote historical events about the history of Poland themselves. And suddenly it turned out that we had super spies during World War II. The Polish resistance movement was the best organized organization in all of occupied Europe - they stole the entire V2 missile from the Germans from the middle of the training ground, examined it and sent the most important parts and documentation to Great Britain.

there are several even more lopsided delaying actions, I think under two Dozen men defending a mountain pass against approximately 15 000 for over a day is among the top, the delay was enough to allow reinforcement to arrive (sadly not in time to save the defenders) and thwart the offensive allowing the attackers to be routed.

My grandpa told me a story when I was around 8-9 yo (1982-1983) about a relative who fought in the first month. I don’t know if it was Wizna, but DEFINITELY around there in September’39. They were digging foxholes in a field and hit a huge potato crop in that field. That little extra food allowed them to fight a day or two longer. Kind of a boring story I know, but it’s one of those little stories of the war where I could really identify with the humanity involved in warfare.

Actually France held out a bit longer.

@@rosyjsko-ukrainskitroll87 It’s a joke lad, and considering the military differences between the two nations at the time. The French only held out by 7 more days than the poles and the Poles were being invaded by two nations.

First time here. Am I drunk, or the author of this channel is wasted?
@HighlyCombustibleReacts3 ай бұрын
Welcome to the channel. I'm never wasted. But I was always exhausted thanks to untreated sleep apnea...We got a machine now, things are good again. I may have been a little stoned...but not wasted. You know, unless you actually were drunk.... Glad to have ya
