One thing I've noticed in practice on live servers is drain tricks snapshot everything at the time of application. So if you have a huge drain that will last to the end of the boss but haunt will fall off, just let it fall as drain has already captured the damage amps.

Ye i always preach getting that last drain tick no matter what falls off. Then shadowflame if u wont get another tick off

As for kill time trackers, it just depends how the WA is written. I've been testing Fojji's kill time WA, and the way I think it works (I could be wrong) is that it will check how long it took your group to drop the boss HP to its current value, and then give you an approximate kill time based on remaining HP, so it will inflate the kill time when you lust on pull, and then start slowing down when it expires. Checked how it looked for our KJ kill about 10-15 sec after lust expired, and it turned out to be about 20 seconds off with our kill time being slightly longer, but that was without any specs with an execute other than a ret paladin and a warrior, since our locks were running Destro. So I think in a proper Wrath raid, it might even be more accurate when you have even more people with even stronger executes. Long story short, kill time trackers might not be super accurate, but they can give you a good idea what to expect once you get a feel for it and if you keep track of lust duration and remaining health.

@NLG WOTLK Classic Thank you for your work and videos! I still have a question if u don't mind answering in the comments. It will greatly help my decision making in raid. You mentionned the importance of keeping haunt at all time unless the boss is about to die. but can't you even let haunt down for like 0.2sec? For exemple: my target will loose haunt in 2.8 sec. My shadowbolt cast + travel time = 2sec and my haunt cast + travel time =1 sec. that means my target will loose haunt for 0.2sec if i cast shadowbolt first. Is that bad ? Should i cast haunt before shadowbolt in that case even if that means casting haunt very early? Thanks you

Nope, always keep haunt up. Clipping it is not a massive damage loss. Stay as close to the target as you can

What’s your thought on Flare trinket and scale of the fate trinket? Would you raccomand them if you got Hit capped and dont need anymore dying curse? Wich combo would you pick for TOC phase?

Scale is actually a slept on trinket especially if killtimes are fast in classic. Illu always outperforms in longer fights but ye scale is solid especially in t9 bis when u lose a ton of haste. Flare completely depends on blizz scripting, ive had some servers with 23% uptime and others it wont proc in execute and its 12% uptime. Theyre also buffing uld hm loot so thats something to look into as well. Ill know once ulduar gets closer and ptr is up etc.

Recast corruption at 35% for death's embrace (assuming you also get a new tricks at 35%), yeah? And if you don't get a second tricks, it's better to just keep it rolling instead of recasting right (tricks = 15% dmg, deaths embrace = 12% dmg)?

Even with DP essentially doubling the value of raw SP in most comps, it seems like simp demo will still end up as a raid dps loss if you are making trades like 50 dps for 20 SP on certain pieces. Obviously still a piece by piece basis but just ignoring your dps for raw SP for everything doesn’t look to be the play

Agreed but there are several items that wont completely gimp your hit or even just a haste/crit sacrifice and in those cases its definitely worth. Especially if youre running a caster heavy comp the math just.starts hard outweighing personal dps

If i start for example using drain life at 27% and bosshp falls down to 25% do i need to reapply drain life for the dmg buff or it does it automatically somehow?
