What are your thoughts on the change to how Demonic Pact works in Classic and do you think that changes the support demo gearing?

Dont think it really changes things much for demo gearing, you just wont pull your pet ever now.

i think it's a good change overall and how it should've worked originally (and also why they changed it going into cataclysm). i do think it's a massive overall raid dps increase (you're essentially giving every caster another trinket slot worth of average spellpower throughout the fight) and might push casters even further ahead of melee. it even gives a good reason to still bring an ele pre-icc the only downsides are that demos are actually griefing by not going for full support gear and overall makes the raids even easier than they will be with 3.3.5 and -likely- post-nerf t8-t10 buff t8-t10 to compensate pls

@@NLGwotlkclassic Yeah its a significant buff to spellpower users as well as the demo itself. I wholeheartedly agree they should buff the content. Hell its blizzard, they could add extra hard modes and script new shit for encounters. They seem like arent going to do that kind of thing unfortunately.

damnation is the only wep i'd run p1, and only once you have TT + matriarch otherwise you'll likely grief your hit rating

This "min/max" demo thing has gotten out of hand and it's overblown. Yeah... they bring a raid buff. You try and convince 8 other casters to give up BIS items in an average guild. They won't show up. Been through this in classic wow and TBC already. People got their "bis" items then just quit the game, started playing another character or xferred to another guild or server. 90 percent of the people playing wow aren't speed running or streamers. Frankly... I hated GDKP in every way, shape and form and this is one of the root causes of it. Blizzard's loot design is garbage. Badges for ALL bis gear should have been put in and at appropriate level of reputation and you should have been able to get your full set. That means you would have had to work for it... but it was attainable.

@@doctordemento965 not give up, let the demo have it *first* And, it’s not out of hand, set the drama down, it’s a HUGE buff. And, they’re giving up their personal dps to make every caster and heals better. Every other caster and heals getting a free trinket’s worth of spell power>your want for loot immediately. Relax buddy, you’re gonna get your loot anyways eventually.

interesting question. there's some items like surplus limb and cincture of polarity that would allow you to spec out of suppression 3% hit talent in the aff tree and more into the crit tree. i'd also use lost jewel over the spirit/haste ring. swap sp/haste gems to sp/crit. don't think i'd change much else though

i think most people will go into OS25+2d and Maly25 with ~15ish people and make 2 raid grps to give more loot

Affliction. But not by much. Honestly though, aff locks while good, don’t give thousands of spell pow to the raid, expect your demo lock to get prio over you at every step. The more they get, the better every other caster and heals is. If you get an item that gives 100 spell pow, they get 110 out of it, and give 11 spell pow to the raid from that one item, times however many casters and heals there are. Say 14 casters/heals= that’s 154 I’m already seein people pop 280 sp demonic pacts in prepatch. That’s just shy of 4K spell pow to the raid.
