New to warlock, been trying to study and get the information under my skin. This guide is so informative and overwhelming and I don't mean that as a negative critique at all I think it's damn admirable how much you're able to keep track of. I realize that I won't be brainy enough to even come close to a result like this but I really hope by watching this and your other specified videos on snapshotting and drainphases videos through, to at least improve myself. I've been getting pretty stomped on dps by demo's in HC runs trying to excuse myself that I need some ramp-up time, but I find it hard to gauge my performance so far, not too sure if that's just me being in denial about subpar performance honestly. Apologies for the rant but tl;dr This is admirable and I aspire to learn! Thank you for the video!

Thanks for this guide, been using the info from it for a little while now and massively improved my gameplay. I do have a question on the weapon swapping at beginning of the fight. Is there a sort of minimum level of crit modifier i should be aiming for when weapon swapping? At the moment i get a 0.5% crit increase on corruption using my crit weapon, before swapping to my usual main and offhand. Does the 0.5% increase outweigh the SP and hit etc i lose from using the crit weapon to begin with? Should i weapon swap as soon as corruption is cast, or once my entire opener is done? Great Guide, I am surprised you never discussed weapon swapping for a bit of extra crit before casting corruption? It can be done inbetween globals and doesn't slow down the rotation at all right? Couldn't you just macro the weapon swap into corruption and put your normal weapon on something like shadowbolt to swap back?

Ya i usually dont cause its hard finding weapons that are worth it. Lets say you have 226ilv turning tide, on the pull every second that you have a lower tier crit wep/wand/offhand on either 213 or 200 youre losing damage on all your other abilities. So really you need all 3 to be around the same ilvl and a quick snap. I think it should be done damn near every boss that its possible with though

If u know u wont get multiple rest of fight ye use it with drain. Can get multiple drains with it most likely but obv need to watch other procs. It snaps better for ur corruption too in execute cuz u arent constantly refreshing with everlasting affliction

Gloves for corruption always since it scales haste with it. Makes sure prioritize dots before going into execute phase soul drain. Heath has been increased on bosses so dots are essential. Don’t go crazy waiting for tick cool down you lose dmg that way.

prob close, think its a waste to haunt when u got no other dots rolling, gives more potential for UA/agony to get the first tricks as well as an extra stack of shadow embrace. realistically the order of ur dots doesnt matter much as long as ur corr has tricks/wild magic crit if applicable/spell crit/all other crit modifers.

both of the professions provide buffs to your gear, tailoring has a tailoring specific cloak enchant that adds a chance to give higher spell damage when a spell hits called lightweave embroidery

Hey NLG! Really enjoying this guide. I feel like my damage is suffering somehow and I cannot put my finger on it. I have some questions about situations involving my corruption snapshot I am sure you get this all the time, but I am struggling with understanding when to HARD CAST reapply corruption. The reason is because of juggling procs/buffs. 1. If I get tricks, and do NOT get my Dying Curse proc (on opener), do I recast corruption when Dying Curse procs but tricks is down or is Tricks roll-over more important? 2. If I do not get tricks (ever) do I hard cast corruption every single time my Dying Curse procs? Do I HARD CAST corruption at the end of the Dying Curse duration to extend the spellpower benefit of the snapshot? 3. Does eradication snapshot with corruption? Should I be hard casting corruption when my eradication procs/is lined up with other buffs? How do I best take advantage of eradication? 4. What are some situations where you are hard casting corruption besides @ 35%? 5. Do I maintain the life tap 20% of my spirit buff the entire time? Should I be recasting life tap every 30 seconds? (NOT the 4 pc 10s buff). Obviously everlasting affliction will let my very first corruption keep rolling, but I just do not understand when I should be re-casting (hard casting) corruption to get a "better" snapshot other than in the opener.

In terms of never clipping Curse of Agony, if you let it expire, then it goes back to having crappy ticks. Is it not better to clip it and lose one tick instead of resetting back to low ticks before the buildup? UA I completely understand, since its damage is consistent. But with CoA ramping up, it seems counter intuitive to not clip.

Curse of agony dmg is so low its only worth the global to cast it if u get it to tick its full duration. If u clip the biggest dmg portion at the end then u were better off not casting it at all

AFFLICTION LOCK OPENER ROTATION 1. life tap 2sec before pull, 2. potion of wild magic or speed depending on fight (if you can maintain corruption entire fight, likely wild magic. if you can't maintain corruption then haste pot outweighs it unless you're lusting on the pull then your shadowbolt might go under 1 second cast time) 3. shadowbolt precast 1sec before pull 4. unstable affliction 5.
