One thing to note about the Space Wolves knowledge of the Grey Knights was that the circumstances of the ending of Armageddon actually led to a Civil War between the Space Wolves and the Grey Knights/Inquisition. This was caused by the Inquisition's decision to massacre the loyal Imperial Guard units which had fought alongside both the Knights and Wolves in order to preserve the secrets of the Grey Knights' existence from outside sources other than the Adeptus Astartes. To this date, while the Wolves will fight alongside Grey Knights if ordered, they no longer trust their grey "Brothers" for their willingness to murder the honorable and the loyal.

Ok, so serious question... Why must the Grey Knights existence be so secret? I mean, they're constantly fighting demons and Draigo is literally in the Warp itself fucking up Chaos, so all the demons obviously know about them. What benefit does their secrecy even gain? Is he a psyker though? He's more than likely a blank, but he hasn't seen any psychic abilities pop up. He may have also been nailed by chaos throughout the game. Specifically when that fury bar gets larger AND lasts longer throughout the game. He may have been influenced at least in part by khorne, but not completely. How the hell else does a signle ultramarine take on an ascended daemon solo unless Matt Ward himself was at the helm for that story. That's as much if not much more bullshit than calgar pulling out a necron pylon and bashing the necrons with it.

The Grey Knights are the ultimate Astartes, but it's stated by numerous sources that the Custodes are something entirely different and far more ancient, standing head and shoulders above even the concept of Astartes, and the only reason the Emperor didn't build legions of Custodes was because their creation process was so demanding he literally numerically couldn't, hence the Primarch genome and Astartes projects to create, for lack of a better term, discount shock troops who could be mass produced

most space marine come from some legion, which come from a primarch, which come from the emperor. Basically, most of space marines share a lot of DNA with the Emperor.

Actually it means they don't share as much with the emperor. At most a 1st founding space marine would have at most 25% of the emperor's DNA. Any subsequent marine made by passing on the gene seed would have less and less of the emperor's DNA.

The Primarchs were heavily modified and each had a custom-crafted genome that the Emperor made by hand, so the main difference between standard Primarch gene-seed and the Grey Knights' gene-seed is that the latter is simply derived from a the pure, unmodified source rather than that of one of his genetic experiments

Everything is imperial propaganda (True GW Canon) The Grey Knights could simply in the future be retconned as the Inquisition's poster. Where they actually do get corrupted and die alot, its just never recorded to keep morale up. IMO if you had 10,000 years and immunity to the warp you'd think of expanding. If you can't expand, and retain there's no point. What the Imperium should do is relocate the technologies of the outer planets and consilodate their forces. Like what the Tau did to fight said Imperium to a stalemate.

Gargantuloth Innovation is problematic because the Imperium doesn't understand their own technology. So when they try to make something a demon infiltrator will turn it into a chaos artifact or the Imperials don't know how to sanctify something to prevent daemonic possession a very common issue. The Imperium upgrades very slowly because of that. Though they lose more than what they gain.
