+Fufufu These gangs have the "privilege" of occasionally being abducted by Imperial Fists and being forced to go through their trials, all the way to being put in a penal legion. So it varies.

You don't have to be 11 years old. especially in Necromunda where they're not getting their stock from a warrior society. So typical Space Marine fashion they may be directly or indirectly responsible for some of the gang fights, where they then routinely raid the survivors and send them through the neophyte meat grinder. Which the government of Necromunda is fully aware off. While the Ultramarines groom their prospects at 11, or the Space Wolves have a tradition ritual for it. The Imperial Fists may suddenly overnight see their entire life change for better or worse.

The original Necromunda box set then the hardback release, was based heavily on the 2nd edition 40k ruleset, which is still findable via google in PDF format. The points system is directly comparable between the two, infact our local GW store on gamers night used to run 40k games and let players use their Necromunda gang as a special ImperialGuards unit... Wow, nostalgia.. smells like, las gun ozone

It depends but 40-50 years of your lucky. I know the imperial guard recruits from house van saar a lot and considers them to be high quality conscripts

Suggestion: Do a video series on the different recruiting of the different space marine Chapters. In the Book Dante it was really interesting to read how the Blood Angers do their recruiting. What different physical and mental trials the boys had to go through. what choices they were given. especially interesting was the view and the attitude of the "Angels" towards mere mortals. I would love to hear that for other chapters (because I believe this to be very different and I´d like to compare) like the space wolfs, the dark angels, the blaktemplars, the salamanders, the raven guard ect. and especially the Ultramarines since they are as far as I know the only chapter that recut from multiple worlds and their recruiting prosses is known to be extremely effective. The different survivel rates of the different trials, the survivel rate of the implantation prosses since the different chapters do it differently. OK now this is quite a lot but it would be really really awesome!
