Check out Arch Warhammer. He has a tonne of videos on Vraks, including the part in which the Scorpians play. 40k facts does great work explaining the facts, while Arch narrates the stories... in my opinion, these two channel go unbelievably well together

Black Templars are friends with every chapter that sticks with the simple truth that Big E is a god, a true god and nothing else but a god...others are let's say suspicious...lacking the holy zeal...bad company...

Wouldnt the black templars in-adherence to the codex astardes decree about the limits on numbers of astardes in a chapter make them heretical in the eyes of the Red Scorpions, albeit somewhat less offensive heretics than say the less zealous or possibly tainted chapters(i have a feeling red scorpions chapter and the excorsists chapter dont interact...like at all for fear of conflict between chapters) or the cult mechanicus? I mean acting like your still a legion is exactly the kind of thing the codex astardes was designed to eliminate surely they would have major beef over this.... Its a direct violation to their version of holy scrpiture and they are zealots...meaning aint nobody getting a pass with em on that stuff...even if black templars believe in God Emps, doesnt mean they are getting left off with directly disregarding the teachings of the codex, if the Red Scorpions are that devout to it.

@daniel hogan in the wide wide world of 40k the ends always justify the means. having more zealous Black Templars bringing the emperor's wrath over the enemies of mankind is a good thing is it not? And due to the Templars believe in Big E being a god for real which sets them apart from most chapters anyway...I guess they would not care too much about adding Red Scorpions to their list of chapters not liking them too much. And sfar as I understood technically the Black templars don't break the Codex for they just "do the math" by creative accounting do they? Does a scout count as a full battle brother? no. And when you have many many Scouts? no.

The Black Templars are zealots in service of the Emperor and worship , but they do not insist and expect that others follow their ways and view themselves as purer and therefore more superior than other Chapters, and respect the service of other Chapters to the Emperor and the Imperium. The Red Scorpions on the other hand believe that they are purer and superior to other Chapters. Their literal following of the Codex, brooking almost absolute no deviation from it and their belief that it is a holy book sanctioned by the Emperor himself, makes them feel themselves as more devoted and more disciplined to the Emperor than any other entity of the Imperium. Additionally, the worship the Emperor of Mankind as a God. The vast majority of the highly puritanical Red Scorpions, who are all highly puritanical, will likely question the Black Templars' professed extent of devotion to the Emperor of Mankind, as in their eyes this is contradicted by not following the Codex.

They are like the Black Templars in their extent of devotion to the Emperor of Mankind and their worshipping him as a God. But they are even more zealous and puritinical than the Black Templars. Whereas the Black Templars do not follow the Codex, but do not cast negative judgement on those that do not and accept that other Chapters do not worship the Emperor of Mankind as a God and respect their service records, the Red Scorpions follow the Codex Astartes probably more strictly than other Space Marines Chapters, even more so than the Novamarines. While the Novamarines will say that following the Codex is necessary for discipline and its guidelines and rules are better than anything else that deviating from it and following the Codex is just a way of the Novamarines, the Novamarines will not cast aspersions on those Chapters that do not follow it as strictly as themselves. The Novmarines do not worship the Emperor as a God. However, the Red Scorpions do that. The Red Scorpions will slate the Black Templars for not following the Codex, despite worshipping thr Emperor as a God. The Red Scorpions will slate the Novamarines for not worshipping the Emperor as a God and not calling out those who do not. No other Chapters like to work with the Red Scorpions and the Red Scorpions do not like to work with other Chapters, regardless of their service records. The Black Templars are prepared to work with all other Chapter and get along with their brethren Imperial Fist descendants and even the Space Wolves. The Novamarines often incorporate their companies or parts of their companies alongside other Space Marines Task Forces and under the command of Space Marines Force Commanders of other Chapters, especially those of the Ultramarines and their descendants. The Red Scorpions work with others when they absolutely have to.
