True that. I mean in Australia a lot of gym trainers charge 60-80 dollars for 30-45 mins session. You do that twice a week and you're looking at 120+ dollars which is way more than 10,000 a year. For what you get in the 10000/yr gym membership is like a gym that cares whether you do well or not and with all the people you see before you start training you probably wouldn't need a PT afterwards. So in essence you're actually saving money and getting more for your membership rather than some dude standing around you counting reps on some random program he just made up. If that gym was in Australia I'd join up.

so, 40$ gym, pretty neat, nice installations, you have everything you need and more actually, pretty good deal. The next one is basically a social club to hang out more than exercising honestly. The 10,000$ gym, man, with all the medical guidance it feels like you're choosing a lifestyle instead of a gym, they will monitor everything and show you, how much time would you spend there? Seriously. I mean it's really good for people that really want to improve, but for 40$ a month, and you can feel even better because you're actually being more eco friendly, I would choose that gym anytime.

Julio Cesar Violo literally false the nfl combine does the 225 test on bench presses not smith machines, smh, don't even reply of you can't bench 315
@julio11486 жыл бұрын
GENERAL WIPE dude thats the NFL! Not a gym where ANYONE can go, the smith machine is something where my grandma could get tested properly. And What is flase about it? Were they doing the NFL combine? Is just an assesment, I think that the way they chose to do it is comprenhensive enough for the average person. And I dont bench that much, but neither can most coaches in the NFL or anywhere else. anyway, I do think that someone that can bench that is prob a powerlifter or highlevel athlete (0.1%), definetly not the norm, you should be more open minded, I dont see anything wrong with that particular assesment, it is a legit baseline and a coach can get a lot of information for the programing to go. Specially since they tested mobility and stability separately.
@generalwipe39556 жыл бұрын
Julio Cesar Violo look man bench press is a much harder movement then smith machine, this is due to the required balancing of the free weights, which is why its the most optimal way to go also anyone can bench 315 if you follow a well designed program and eat right it'll come in no time
@julio11486 жыл бұрын
GENERAL WIPE I know that bench press is harder... you have to stabilize the weight, that is why I’m saying that testing mobility and stability separately and smith machine bench press for the average person is fair. Harder is not always better for an assessment because sometimes you want to eliminate variables. Smith machine is as raw as a horizontal push can get, the programing actually sees the strength. And they see the limitations in multiple planes of stability in their other tests. And on the personal side, I care about my ratio of the main lifts, where my lowest priority is the bench press, I care about vertical push more because it transfers better in my sport. That being said I do know a little sport science, I do watch my ratio of bodyweight and supertotal, I am intermediate AF, but I am not in plateu so I’ll get where I want to following MRV principles in my mesocycles 🤷🏻♂️

That is the average/unweighted mean, not the median. That number is significantly propped up by CEOs and billionaires. If you look at what the vast majority of individuals are making in the US you'll find that most are sitting around $27k~ for individual income. This number gets excessively worse depending on factors such as education, sex, race, and age. While 10k being more than what half the US population makes in a year *is a bit of a stretch*, it is definitely more than what over half of the US population has in disposable income even if you're living with the bare basics and put nothing into investments. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Household_income_in_the_United_States Edit: clarified the last sentence in asterisks

Im just trying to say that comparing a monthly price to a yearly price isnt a fair comparison, and there is no context of price in the title. And 480$ vs 10,000$ already sounds way more boring. If both were monthly that would be even less interesting: 40$ vs 840$ looking at it that way the difference is only 800$ and either way thats only a 6x increase, where some other worth it videos get up to a 5000x increase, so basically I dont have anything better to do and this is a way of misleading people to get more clicks (AKA clickbait).
