Made a hybrid sphere using resin and stabilized maple burl. Also, whipped up a quick and dirty stand w/maple burl (pictured at the end of the video). Otherwise, it would roll off of the table. ;)

Pabst Blue Ribbon likely a vacuum chamber, or possibly just the bubbles rise to the top as it sets. I don’t do this sort of stuff myself but those seem like fairly logical ways to prevent bubbles.

Real pretty. Glad to see you took off the gloves while you were using the tool rest. That gap is a hungry little demon, just waiting to grab a glove and break a finger or wrist. And it's hard to see it when there's a pile of shavings and dust on it. 2000 and 4000 grit automotive sandpaper before finishing would make the resin look just like glass, even before polishing compound (?) and buffing.
