In 2000 I purchased a Nikon Coolpix 880, similar to this Olympus. In hindsight I would have chosen this camera but at the time I had no clue where personal digital cameras would go. I still have it in storage and I'm sure I could sell it on eBay under a title of "digicam" 😂 ... but I like holding on to my small cameras. Thanks to your channel I'm now experimenting with Nikon DSLR CCD censored cameras but I do have a handful of coolpix I could resurrect.. namely a handful of Nikon s70s I purchased on the used market for the $5 - $10 range years ago, but are now bringing in $60 plus each!! So the word is out! CCD rules if a small digicam or a DSLR!! And thank you Carmine for reinvigorating my love of these older cameras!

All right, brother! You convinced me. I picked up one of these for $24 on ebuy just now. Those shots you took are awesome. I shoot a lot of black and white film these days, but I'm always interesting in finding some vintage tech that works really well. This camera was $1,000 when it came out. Now I just have to wait for it arrive. Appreciate the hot tip! I was already a subscriber, and this is why. Keep em coming!

I have the c3000 i bought new, it still works and takes lovely photos for a 3 mega camera, they are for next to nowt on ebay, i didn't use it for years until 12 months ago and nowadays wonder why, its nice to use, still have the old card reader i bought with it

Carmine... If you zoom all the way out with Macro on both the c-4040 and C-5050 produce spectacular bokeh. Some of my best nature shots were taken with these gems. I sell when I think i have to many cameras but invariably buy another another a few months later. PLUS I have never had a lens/zoom error so common on newer digicams. Keep up the good work! Thanks

I love these cameras. I own several CCD sensor cameras, they are just great grab and go cameras and the colour pop is amazing. for sharing on social media, 4mp is fine! Thanks for sharing!

I had the C5060 camera -- loved it. The C5050 had less zoom I think, but a better aperture iirc

I still have my c3000. It was very expensive back in the days, 3.3 Mpix only but i was very pleased with the photos. I keep it for nostalgia... It was my first digital camera :-)
