I got married at age 40 and my husband was 42. We just celebrated our 11th anniversary. I love him! But I want to get into Singles Ministry especially for women. I hate to say this, but when you get married, you might be surprised at how much fun and freedom is in Single life: Volunteering, church retreats, free time for more friendships. You'll be surprised how great the single life is when you get married. Marriage brings compromising, in laws, how to spend time at holidays with different a family, loss of freedom. Marriage is great, but cherish your single life while your living it.

I'm going to turn 43 this year, Happy New year! And I was so upset this past December because I believed the lies-- I'm too old, no man will want a 40's something when he can take his pick from so many younger single Christian women, I'm too old to have children--- even though marriage and motherwhood have been my dreams my entire life. Thank you for this. I turned 40 in September and it’s been really hard I’ve been saved since I was 21 and I feel like a failure because in all this time I have not had a meaningful relationship I try to present myself the best that I can but to no avail. I really struggle with my faith in this area I know God is able to bless people with spouses because he has but for some reason it just feels like it’s impossible for me. I sometimes just say I’ll give up and just live how I am currently but I feel convicted because I feel like I’m not walking in faith. It’s like it’s starting to hurt to have hope that I’ll find a loving godly spouse but I’ll keep praying and believing. TFS

Hey Ms. Elle! I'm so glad you found the channel! I am the number one cheerleader for women just like you....been there and done it! I can tell you that it's not what you see, it's how you see it. As you practice magnifying God, seeing Him as He "truly" is, and get your thinking str8, you will be surprised how things will being to shift in your life. Take a look at the video on the channel titled *IS YOUR MIND YOUR ENEMY?* The Bible says, as a man/woman thinks, so is he/she. I sooo remember looking around and feeling like I'd never get married. I didn't see a single promising suitor FOR YEARS and when I finally got engaged the first time, the man almost killed me (literally-whole nother story). One day, I was feeling so discouraged, as usual, about the whole getting married thing and other singles and ppl told me that it would never happen for me because my standards were too high!!! But the thing was, in my mind, my standards were BASIC (prayer life, job, work ethic, saved FOR REAL, not a whoremonger, etc...you know BASIC! So I was talking to my mentor one night and I was feeling SOOOOOO LOW and I was telling her the things ppl were saying. I told her that when I wasn't saved, I understandably had some jacked-up relationships, but now that I'm saved I truly wanted something different and if my standards were too high, I didn't know what I was going to do because I couldn't bring myself to lower them. What she said to me that night stayed with me, until I met and married my husband. She said, "Cynthia! There is a man that is looking for the very same things that you're looking for! You have to believe that when no one else will! Don't lower your standards...BELIEVE GOD! Now even though things didn't turn around immediately, things did turn. From that day forward, whenever I'd come to that low ppl of discouragement and feeling like it wouldn't happen for me, I'd meditate and say out loud what she told me. Long story short, as I got my thinking str8 things began to change and met and married the man that truly was looking for the very same things I was looking for. We have be married since 2004 and he has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. So, what's the point of of all of my babblings...lol? Don't give up. ALL THINGS are possible to them who BELIEVE! Starting at the moment you read this....I want you to begin to think about the number of ppl who are currently in the world, along with the God of the Bible who creates living beings from egg and sperm. Then look around at nature and marvel at the Creator's handiwork !!! Think about the sun that never collides with the earth, the seasons that never meet, and the laws that govern the universe. Then weigh your desire to be married against that and determine whether or not connecting you with a loving man, who ONLY has eyes for you and will treat you well all of the days of your life, is really a hard task for HIM! You just have to BELIEVE!

I stumbled on this channel so I'll add my two cents. The "Christian women" I come across think I'm weird because I actually do what the Bible says. I keep the Lord's Sabbath on the 7th day, don't eat foods the Bible forbids, don't do holidays like Christmas and Easter (they are not in the Bible) can't have sex again until we agree to be married....they think I'm crazy or in a cult. Even though I can actually prove all this with scriptures, not theory. Yes, I believe in Jesus. So because I do what thus saith the Lord, and not what thus saith man, I am unequally yoked with women who profess to be Christians. I use to do all those things at one point too, but there are "Godly men" our here who actually try to live right according to the Bible, just not according to what traditional Christianity has taught us.

I am 38, single and not waiting anymore. I have prayed for a godly men for more then ten years. Then I realized that God never promises a marriage in the bible so I was chasing after a thing I wanted but not what the Lord wanted otherwise I would have been married by now. I let go of the false hope of getting married and for the first time in live I feel more peacefull. All these years thinking i did something wrong, was not good enough, trying so hard and still no result brought me alot of grief. If I accepted the truth alot earlier It would have spared me alot of tears. I never understand why God does not allow me to get married. But now i had the time to grief about it and finaly come to a place of acceptence. Not everyone is getting married, how hard you pray, you fast, do ministry, or how hard you hope and believe for it, proclaim it or whatever. Not everyone will be married that is the truth. Why some marry and some not I dont know. But i know marriage is not for everyone and if your spend your years hoping and believing and it does not happen, this will make you misareble. I'll pray that God is helping anyone who is not getting married in the future to let that hope go!! Hope deffered makes the heart sick!!

Let's put that into perspective! There are plenty of men and women who either genuinely don't desire to be married or God has communicated to them that marriage if not for them because of the call He's placed on their lives. However, marriage is God's idea and those who don't marry are the exception not the rule from God's perspective. In Genesis chapter 2, God said that it is not good for man to be alone so he created man a wife. Be sure that it's "God's will" that you not marry and not the disappointment of hope. So many people mistake hope for faith and they are two very different things. Matthew 13:58, says that even Jesus couldn't perform miracles because of the unbelief of the people.

A season of waiting should never just be a season of waiting. A lot of women say they're waiting on God but God is waiting on them. The church unfortunately has put a stigma against women doing anything other than praying and waiting. Prince charming is not going to come knocking on your door. You're going to have to learn biblical principles of marriage, prioritize relationships, you might have to initiate (not pursue), get out the house, go where Christian singles are, and date people who are equally yoked and want to be married. You can pray and wait AND be proactive in finding a husband in a way that honors God.

Been 40 for about a month and I’m recovering from heartbreak. I met someone last year and truly believed God brought him to me. We spent Thanksgiving with his family and mine and, after I flew back home, he broke up with me (he claimed God told him to). At this point, I don’t know what is supposed to be happening. Samantha, I'm so glad you found my channel because God wants to assure you that He has not forgotten about you! Bible faith is a powerful force created by God and given to every born-again believer. The world has convinced us that the struggle is real when it comes to attracting/connecting with a Christian man who wants what you want. But that's a big fat lie! I can guarantee you that if you become the wife NOW, you'll attract the man who is seriously looking for a wife! What do I mean? If you were married, would the relationships you currently have now be ok with your husband? Have you mastered certain skills that will add value to your marriage (e.g. submission, self-control, emotional wholeness etc.)! There is power in NOW FAITH! When you begin to live like you're already the wife, it builds your faith and when real Bible faith has been established in you, it causes the things you're in faith for to manifest. Be it unto you "according to YOUR FAITH!"

My greatest desire is to point women to the God of the Bible who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above *ALL* that we can ask or think according to the power (faith) that is at work in us! This is what I'd like for you to do...get an index card and write down *Mark11:23-26* . Then I want you to start memorizing it and then chew it like gum. What do I mean? Start saying that scripture out loud (softly to yourself) throughout your day. But don't say it mechanically, really "think" about what you're saying. As you lay in bed to fall asleep, think on that scripture, intently, over and over until you fall asleep. Do this from today until next Saturday, don't forget, chew it like gum!!! Then come back to this video and leave a comment and tell me if you notice something different. 😊 *Mark 11:23-24* *23* For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. *24* Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Thank you for reminding me to keep my faith and building me up while in my frustration. I was told years ago that I have faith to move mountains. I will pray and ask God to help me to reignite that faith again! I know God put you before me because I asked for His help! I talks about my future husband without thinking to everyone and I feel bad sometimes because it is being said stop telling people what God is showing you. Please pray for me.I'm 42 and I became disabled at age 30. I always desired a husband, but I'm just now healed emotionally from my medical trauma. I have difficulty walking with forearm crutches, but I'm not THAT disabled. However, I lived in sin in my 20s due to low self esteem and childhood trauma. I recently recomitted to Jesus. I'm trying to accept that I might be single forever. I just broke up with my boyfriend as he was leading me away from Jesus and into sin.

Why try to accept that you'll be single? If you're recently born again, focus on growing spiritually as Christ is formed in you. It good that you broke it off with your boyfriend, especially if he was pulling you away from God!! Pleased know that God did not pit all of your marriage opportunities in one man. The way to get a husband is to learn to love, and not be like the woman in counselling who wanted to train her husband in the same way that she trained horses! The other thing is, that God will not deliver your husband in a registered parcel. God works by sending suitable men to cross your path. Give each one a fair assessment. I married a woman who, in many ways, did not seem to be a good match. We have now been married for over 50 years.

42..waiting for truth fulfillment and letting go.... I read on a forum once for all these single women Christian women and I seen so many comments of people in their 50s 60s and I think even in their 70s still waiting and waiting I don't want to be one of those women that Waits and waits for something that is not true I'd rather have the lord rip off the Band-Aid so I can be healed of this desire if it's not from the Lord is too painful to think about going years and years believing something if it's a lie I think marriage is good and I have not given up completely but I will say I'd rather believe the truth of the will of the Lord in my life then believe a lie because I do not want something that God doesn't want.... mind you I do hope he wants that for his will for my life before the return I'm just saying if it's gone the other way I'd rather know sooner than later God willing for I believe he is willing cuz he is truth

100%. Walk into a room and do the math. Let's just say the room is church. 8-10 single women in a small church - easily. Maybe 2 single men, and not necessarily the right age. So...everyone will not be married.

Who is to say that the man who is looking for you is in the church that you're looking around in? It's a fact that not everyone will be married but for a lot of women, it's not because it's God's will. It's because we all live out what we believe and there is no way around that.

One of the greatest deceptions for Christian women who are "waiting" on God is that they don't take any ownership of their outcome. Waiting on God doesn't mean you do nothing. I can't tell you how many women wait on God for a husband as if they are waiting for a bus. The Bible says that as we acknowledge God in all of our ways, He will direct our path. What I figured out a long time ago when I was "waiting" to be married was that it was quite an insult to God for me to think that it was impossible for Him to "help me" connect with a man who was suitable for me when He was the one that created the first man. Marriage is God's idea and being unmarried is the exception to His plan. I guarantee you that if you took a few minutes to evaluate what you really believe (which is faith) as it relates to men and marriage, your life is a reflection of that belief.

I desire God's desire marriage. I do not have a desire for child or children, I pray Jesus lets me have a husband that doesn't want that, or marry a man widow that has maybe 14 year old. I don't know but I would be ok with that. But I was told woman have children, when you find a man your change your mind, or you don't know what your missing. I find that tough, I can make up my own mind. Children are a blessing to God, but it's a permanent position. You can't undo being a parent. As we know adoption happens. I think I have meet my husband but because of sin we are unequally yoked. We laugh together, get along, and spend time together a lot. However, he was an alcoholic for 15-20 years of his life. At 35 he finally decided to get clean. Buy in those 15-20 years he did not enroll in the college that would have given him a good degree and job, was arrested and now has a record, damaged family and friendships, and his brain.... his brain is scrambled. I really believe he was who God wanted me to be with but because of sin... it's not going to work. I really think Gods intention was for us all to be married, but when Adam and Eve sinned... the perfect life God intended for us was ruined.

Those that have adopted or put there children up for adoption your special. Iam not judging I don't know individual situations. Just wanted to say even we who want children find it tough, if we don't desire to be a parent which is full time every day. Not stopping at 18 years old. It can carry on into 30 s I still live at home. Not married tried few relationships but they were not from God. Desperation can make one do act impulsive like what Abraham did for Sarah, or Sarah said go into Hagar through impatience the lines divides we have here it is. But God can bring good out of things. Anyhow but yeah I just want help with not being desperate, thinking marriage will fix me somehow, or If I do this il be happy. Then I won't be able to cope. I need Jesus definitely to help me if he grants me marriage. To love be patient listen, don't walk out if there is an argument. You know it's tough calling. Help me to enjoy the single hood. Even though I can actually prove all this with scriptures, not theory. Yes, I believe in Jesus. So because I do what thus saith the Lord, and not what thus saith man, I am unequally yoked with women who profess to be Christians. I use to do all those things at one point too, but there are "Godly men" our here who actually try to live right according to the Bible, just not according to what traditional Christianity has taught us.

You said, "you won't have sex until you and your future/current love "agree to get married". I just want to clarify what you're saying. Are you saying that you won't have sex until you say "I do" on your wedding day, or just agree to get married?

@@waitingroomlife-withcynthi8991 That's a good question. The long answer...We have to figure out what or when a marriage starts in God's eyes. There's nothing wrong with making it official with the state and declaring it in front of friends and family, but what does the Bible say? When we agree to get married, we call it being engaged, the Bible calls it being "betrothed", or promised to. Biblically, once you are engaged, even without consummating the marriage with sex, you are married and expected to complete the process. There was no, "now I pronounce you husband and wife." Lets see... Joseph hadn't laid with Mary, but she was pregnant with Jesus (Matthew 1:18-19) she was "espoused" or engaged to Joseph, he thought she was cheating on him, so he was going to divorce her privately because adultery was punishable by death back then. In Genesis 29:21, Rachel was promised to Jacob. He hadn't laid with her yet but after he waited seven years for her he said, "give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled." If it's done out of order, and sex comes before a covenant or agreement, the man had to make it right and marry the woman. “And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.” Exodus 22:16 It had to specify "not betrothed" because that would have made it adultery. So minus a court system, when man and woman make a covenant with each other to be married, that's it Biblically speaking. Now that I have repented of how I use to do things, the next woman I have sex with will be my wife. I hope this makes sense.

I so appreciate your dialog TJ. I get all of what you're say, but need the short answer....LOL! There are circumstances when we have to take the culture into consideration when it comes to certain things that the Bible speaks on. However, fornication isn't one of them. So, for clarity purposes, are you abstaining from fornication until you say I DO on your wedding day? 😊

"When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed." Ecclesiastes 5:5 Fornication is sex w/o a marriage covenant right? Who's covenant? We could go to the courthouse and make it legal first for her peace of mind. My point is, if I say to her, will you be my wife?....and she says, "yes"....it's a wrap. I know that's not this culture. The Bible is my culture these days, so by the time I got to know her enough to consider her as a wife, she would have to have the same Godly fear as I do. Not trying to come off like I'm perfect.....I've made plenty mistakes in the past.
