The guy who played Slenderman (Javier Botet) also played Mama, The Crooked Man (which I loved his performance in The Conjuring 2), the leper in IT, and the demon thing in Insidious the Last Key. He's tall as hell and they don't have to do much to change his hight/lankyness. I was watching behind the scenes for making The Crooked Man and he ended up becoming one of my favorite actors because of his talent to be horror movie monsters lol.

It’s interesting how they also kept some scenes that were in the trailer, out the movie, like when Chloe stabbed her self in the eye, or that one scene from the trailer with the girl in the white dress walking out the forest seemingly under Slender’s influence. Also, there are some sub plot cliffhangers. Like what happened to Chloe? Did she just stay sick in her home for the rest of her life? What happened to Hallie’s boyfriend too. He clearly watched the video despite Hallie’s warning but we don’t see what happens to him either.

But when I watched one more time trailers after I watched the film, I noticed a lot of scenes that I actually didn't see in Slender Man. Even in the end we find out about a fate our girls (even though we already knew about three). I guess she could commit a suicide. But I'm nearly sure that agatha ( I guess that was her name, her nick sounds similiar) is proxy. She shared a film to everybody who was interested and wanted summon Slender Man. She didn't say everything to Vren or Hallie about Slender Man and when Hallie wanted find a way to end this, the proxy just removed account. It was obvious that she's under control by Slender Man. But I don't actually know about her fate. Did Slender Man kill her or let her go? The trailer shows her with police. Maybe it's a deleted scene when she served to Slender Man and because her condiction wasn't pretty well, she had to spent some time at the mental hospital. But we already know that she escaped. So how finally is? Is she alive? About Tom I think he get's mad because of the film which Hallie warned him about. We could saw his arm - he definetely was in the forest even if not physically. It's hard to say what could have happened to him. I speculate he was stalked by Slender Man like other victims. There are many holes. I think we can only wait on deleted scenes to make the plot correct what should it be.

The thing I liked most about the slender-verse is the symbolism everywhere, as well as the depth of the lore and how it tied into everything, branching out and showing a little more but not revealing a lot about the creature itself. One thing I love to point out is how eerily similar slenderman is to a human, but the similarities stop at his skin, his face (or lack thereof), and his abilities. I personally like to think that what fuels him in the slender-verse is fear. Why else does he toy with people. Sure he kills some of them if he knows they’re of no more use to him, or sometimes he’ll torture them or even capture them, but he breaks them, and it’s easy because he can strike fear, and it makes sense to me because people often fear what they don’t know or can’t comprehend, and in this case that’s Slenderman personified. The fact he can create other creatures to work for him (or at least provide a vessel) or even just strike deals with other creatures, and is essentially a more sane Bill Cipher, he truly has no limits, or at least none we know of yet. Though Tribetwelve is suggesting a weakness in journal or two but it’s been a while since I went to the ARGs.

Great video! Only criticism is on Exhibit D you said that the boys summoned slenderman. There is a scene near the lockers the next day where the boys say they chickened out and never did it. When Hallie went over to Tom's house he joked saying that he was going to watch the video. He watched it when she left and the next day in science he was visually disturbed. I saw this movie twice because it was just one of those so bad it's good type of things.

I think you missed that the guys DO mention the summuning of HIM later in the movie, Tom tells Hallie that they chickened out of doing it when she tells him that she and her friends did what they were going to... And I saw an upside down cross on the door at the bottom of the stairs in Wrens room. me and my friend saw slender man in theaters on OPENING DAY (in an admittedly very small town but it was still opening day) and there were 2 people there besides me and my friend. it was soooo bad. i was super exited about it cuz i've always been a fan of creepypastas and slenderman and i was stoked when i saw the trailer. the best thing about it was the end credits when i was finally able to leave. the only good thing to come out of it was the absolute rampage of jokes at the movie's expense that night

When you were saying that there was no evidence that the guys saw the video and that Hallie's crush had never seen the video, you had forgotten that one of the guy characters said that they chickened out and they were making jokes about who got scared and didn't want to watch it.
