NO LAUGHING MATTER. Shane Dawson, the internet star whose irreverent humor captured the zeitgeist of a generation, took an unexpected detour into the realm of horror with his starring role in the 2012 cult film "Smiley." This psychological thriller blended online urban legends with slasher tropes, bringing the internet's dark underbelly to shocking life on the big screen.
In this deep-dive analysis, I will trace Smiley's origins, examining how the film wove together cyber lore and horror to create a reflection of the internet's creeping influence over our reality. We will follow the ripples caused by Shane's divisive performance as the hapless Ashley, a teenager plunged into paranoia after learning about the mysterious Smiley killer. I love you. As a content creator and a film professional you cut to to heart of what is objectively awful about this movie. Regardless of what you think of creators, or the creators of the time specifically, this movie is awful. Both as a creation of old-school KZbin creators and as a basic film. Even if we ignore the "joke" that Shane made, it's not like it was his only offence that made it weird regarding him and kids. Shane also sexualised his young fans for years: got them to twerk for him, send pictures of their best "r@pe face", kissed a 12 year old fan on the lips, swapped gum with a 15 year old fan, pretended to jerk off to a poster of Willow Smith when she was 11, and had an entire channel with the Fine Bros about a 6 year old puppet where the entire "joke" was that she was being s3xually @bused and r@ped. I unironically like the design of the "REAL" Smiley here. It actually is kind of unnerving to look at. It's kind of fitting if we are to compare him to actual Creepypasta monsters because... let's face it... most classic Creepypasta are hot garbage with their only saving grace being the designs of the creatures within them. Like, Jeff the Killer has a pretty alright design that if you're scrolling late at night and suddenly stumble upon a picture of him completely at random, it will most likely startle you or at least surprise you. But the story that he spawned from was just absolutely awful. Slenderman's stuff, while better, still isn't very good. But his design is iconic. Then we've got crap like Sonic.exe where the design and the story aren't really scary but the design does still kiiiiind of stick with you to the point that it became sort of iconic. Smiley is in a similar vein where it's an actually kind of alright look and concept but executed poorly just like so many classic, yet still kind of iconic Creepypasta.

Actually there was a story behind Nyan Cat and the story was that Cats always land on their feet meanwhile a slice of bread with jelly on it will always fall on the jelly side. So if you stick a slice of bread with jelly on it in the back of a cat and throw them, they will spin until the reach infinite speed and they will not be able to touch the floor because it will be impossible for the cat to land on his feet and the slice of bread to land on the jelly side at the same time. That's why nyan cat is travelling through space.

If I remember correctly, I believe "Smiley" used to be available on "SHUDDER" but I'm not subscribed there anymore so I'm not sure. Also, I agree with most all of your commentary/review, except we greatly disagree on how we view Shane Dawson. In my opinion he's just as problematic as ever, just not as popular.
