40 things you probably didn't know about Rocket League

It's 10 solid minutes of useless information about Rocket League....PLUS 1. I did it again. A video full of random facts, history, stories, updates, items, and a whole bunch of unusual clips and observations. None of which really matter at all. At the end of this video you are not going to be a better player and you definitely aren't going to rank up. But I think you'll at least find it an interesting and maybe even entertaining way to spend 11 minutes. My goal is to show you sights you've never seen before and tell you stories you've never heard before. You're not going to find many Rocket League videos like this one. It's not just trivia, this is 11 solid minutes of useless Rocket League Information.

"Arena Placebo feature" is exactly right. I've been testing how the arena preferences change what you play on and I've seen very little difference. In fact, so far, disliked maps have appeared more often during testing than when they appeared with no preferences selected at all.

It tends to try to match people together on whether they both 'like' or 'dislike' maps the same amount on each team, so no team likes/dislikes more than the other team - which means sometimes it will give people matchups where everyone dislikes it (equal teams) more than matchups where some like and some are neutral (not equal)

8:42, the "write in the sky with your own custom rocket boost!" would be a sick goal explosion, where skywriting planes/jets (like on Champion's Field at 10:51) fly over the map after you score and have your name written across the sky. If it ended up that long names caused problems though through, then maybe something like the goal speed or just the team color would be cool.

The water reflection just being upside down models is my favorite fact. honestly props to whoever thought of this design, as it provides nice visuals (which aren't even gonna be given attention to in game) without the performance cost of rendering reflections

Definitely my favorite fact from this was learning that the first aerial goal was (allegedly) made literally on day one of Alpha. I thought the aerial potential of this game wasn't realized till later. Seems like you astronauts have always known these cars weren't meant for the ground
