In engineering this is called "reincarnating resonance" and it happens quite frequently when you design gears for example. Like when the engineer made a mistake, a gear can spin up uppon assembly and violently destroy itself due to overheating or stress. Also u have to be mindful when loading basicly anything into a pickup truck or a trailer. Sometimes it will just randomly accelerate and tear down everything in its path. And the worst of them all: carussels on playgrounds. One false step and you are doomed. No chance. Spinns up until it defeats gravity and leaves earths atmosphere. This is also the reason for UFOs btw.

EDIT: I did some research, and it turns out that I was sort of right, not truly believing that the Rolex mechanism is perpetual, seeing as there is no such thing as 100% energy conservation, even in a vacuum. The way the watches work is it harnesses the energy of the persons hand moving. It does this by winding the main spring mechanically with the movement of the hand, thus creating a seemingly perpetual motor. To avoid over-winding, there is a slip mechanism that stops the winding of the spring.

You really don't need a perpetual motion machine to create free energy though, in theory a machine exists that turns for a funcionally infinite amount of time. Forget functionally infinite, if I had a flywheel that could sustain something as demanding as a server tower in my house and needs to be spun up once a week I would be set for life.
@UsmanSaleemSulehri3 жыл бұрын
@@seanlally7384 Hey man. Don't take it as bad but I think you don't understand basic Energy Conversion and Generation. Generators provide energy. If you were to turn a flywheel once a week for whole week of power, it would either need to be so big that you will require too much torque to even start turning it. Or you will require too much speed if it's not that big. Either way it will not be feasible and will end up being more costly, wasteful and high maintenance. A better and more conventional alternative that I can suggest is either utilizing Wind mill or Solar Power. Both of them might not be good enough depending on your location and power requirement but they will be practical rather than a flywheel. Again I am sorry if this is too antagonizing.

mrflakito It is very efficient, produces very little pollution, and the planet is very unlikely to run out of material for it. @antman6747 жыл бұрын
AJ Olesen perpetual motion and free energy are not the same thing. if you were hypothetically able to create a true perpetual motion machine, it would be a contained system which you would not be able to draw any useful energy from - it would only recycle the same initial energy put into it and never actually output any energy. of course, both perpetual motion and "free" energy are impossible for the same reasons (which i get that you realize), but i just wanted to point out they are not the same thing even on a purely hypothetical level.
@esgibtnureinen7 жыл бұрын
J Smithson The resources for nuclear power are very limited. And when the sun is gone life won't be possible on earth anyway so basically it is 'forever'. At least in a human time span. If humans happen to find another planet to live on, that planet will have another star where solar power could be used.
@stobbyenduromx96923 жыл бұрын
For those wondering, no you cannot turn these into generators. The thing that makes these stay in motion for so long is very low resistance and some physics trickery. However it will never truly be perpetual as there is always going to be some loss of energy with friction etc. Making one into a generator would put a load on it and it would pretty much stop immediately.
@stobbyenduromx96923 жыл бұрын
The reason you only see these machines for a few seconds each, isn't because they're trying to fit 40 in a video, it's because they only last a few seconds. The Pendulum at 2:00 you can see the ball hit the stops but as it swings a few times the ball reaches a lower and lower maximum height on the other side. It will eventually stop. The most obvious one is perhaps the suspended magnet at 2:20 this will pretty much stop immediately. Works the same way my dog door works, flaps back and forth a few times then the magnet catches it.
@stobbyenduromx96923 жыл бұрын
However, all of the cars are just powered by either spring or battery power. Putting two magnets opposing on a car doesn't make the car move. Yes the magnets are pushing away from eeach other, but they are attached to the same thing. They will just cancel out.

They're ideas, what do you expect?
@brianmancilla777 жыл бұрын
Geraldo Franco They're not fake you idiot. The creators of these machines know its impossible but they make these to see how pong they would actually last. Theres a reason it only shows like 10 seconds of each machine because its obvious that they will inevitably stop due to friction.

Even though they don't work forever, the key is they use very small energy.

We all know its fake, but it was a fun video! Some of these were really creative!

Gresi Lamaj Is it really that creative if it doesn't work?
@jerryjorts40507 жыл бұрын
SamTheMan Yes! Although its all bullshit they had to come up with all of these! Also i don't understand your reasoning! I think you don't know the meaning of the word "creative"!

Gresi Lamaj I just don't see how it's creative, to me they're just more and more obscure failures

Do people actually understand that this isn't supposed to be showing off perpetual motion. This is just a compilation of cool machines that almost work as perpetual motion.
@gevitar044 жыл бұрын
Basically they have very little energy loss.

Cmon the title of the video is litterally "Perpetual motion machines", and some of them aren even physically posible like in 4:19. This vid is bullshit
@voxeln00b4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I’m not sure how you can think this guy isn’t trying to pass these off as actual perpetual motion. It’s not like the title says “almost perpetual motion”. And I mean come on, a magnet powered car? Really?

It depends on what way you pulls it 😆
@uwose3 жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter what the inventors thought how they should work. It isn't supposed to spin in any direction. So it's up to the builder to decide.

I hate to rant but this is my first "perpetual motion" video. A guy i sub contract for watches these videos and i explain why they are not possible. I tried to explain it to him as basic i could. He didn't seem to want to debate it. He wanted me to help him. I said it can't be done. You want free energy we illegally damn the creek beside your home and BOOM free electric. I still thought he was intelligent for his ideas, but lacked my education. A couple weeks ago i go to his house to hook up an instant hot water tank. I told him about seeing these videos of the earth and these morons called, "FLar-Tards" or Flat earthers. I dropped the issue after a couple minutes because he watched a couple YT videos and they don't lie. He is absolutely sold on the idea. More than perpetual motion. The most profound question he asked me was, "who would it take to tell you the earth is flat for you to believe it?" I said i didn't think it was possible that any 1 person could convince me. I asked him, "who sold you on the idea?" Apparently he has seen documents from NASA, Donald Trump and compares the earth to a basketball. These are some interesting machines in this video. Some of them are very efficient. I remeber when i was a kid and seen that "radiometer" that is a thing inside a vacuum where the white sides reflect the light and the black absorb the light and it spins. I was too young to understand it was in a vacuum. Then in that movie "pitch black" it looks like they use something like that to get power, the eclipse starts and i was like, 'break the damn thing open and turn it by hand'!!! If any single one of these machines could run forever without needing some type of input that is still absolutely useless to us unless we can gain a fraction of a percent from it. At 2:22 i have seen a clock that worked on the same principal. Using a ball on a rope as the escapement. Seeing this device knowing it has to have energy to turn is a load of shit. Most of these videos you can see them slowing down in the seconds we see them.

Hate to break it to you but space travel has always been a fraud and earth is a toroidal shaped realm, with a flat plane at it's center. I was once a huge space geek, until I discovered that the moon landings were a fraud, and then it was all downhill from there. I have helped awaken 100's of people to the Flat Earth, over the last 12 years. This video is a waste of time BTW. I came here via a playlist on propulsion. I don't know what these toys have to do with propulsion lmao.
