Depends on the state. Some states, like Az and Fl, if paternity wasn’t challenged in the first year, then whomever was put on child support like Jackson has to stay on it until it’s paid. In Az, 2 parents have to be responsible for the child financially. So even if he did a dna test 2 or more years later and she turned out not to be his, unless there’s another man/partner willing to accept financial responsibility for the child, Jackson would still be paying child support because 2 parents have to be legally and financially responsible. Depending on the state laws, Jackson could be paying the arrears until he passes or it’s paid in full, because raising the child is legally the responsibility of 2 parents.

My oldest son was murdered by the police in 2022 and my second too the oldest is in prison. If a woman wins custody she should be held accountable for raising those kids. Money is not the tell all. As a women that had two miscarriages and an tubal pregnancy I still cry over my lost babies. Well I’m an adult and my father had arrears on child support. I have absolutely no say on dropping the debt. The money goes to my mother for all the money she spent supporting me alone for years. It’s basically money owed to her she paid out in advance raising me, clothing, feeding, housing, education, recreation, etc. she spent a lot. My Father owes her and she deserves every penny back even if i had a say I’m dropping it i wouldn’t my mother should get all she’s owed.
