Good to see you uploading a video again. A ridiculous amount of closures are happening in northern California as well.

I bought parts there when I was a kid- so sad to see the area falling apart like this...

It's really sad to see this place close. I bought an AM radio kit there in the summer of '90.

It's been well over 10 years since I've bought anything at Radio Shack. This store closing has more to do with the company than the general economy. They used to have a niche market (electronic hobbyists) 20-50 yrs ago, but then they moved to selling mid to low quality gear, their prices were not competitive and most of their employees were McDonald's caliber. I'm surprised they've lasted this long.

I agree with you completely. They need to do a better job of marketing their electronics kits

You guys gotta get the hell out of there. I absolutely loved Pasco, until it took a wrong turn in 2004.

There's only one left that I can think of. I'm seeing other retail stores dropping like flies. Interesting times we live in.

Penney's has some major problems. I could see them closing a few hundred stores between now and the end of summer.

This is nothing, the 34 Sweetbay Grocery stores have closed, many in the Tampa Bay market, the number of closed businesses in Pasco and Pinellas is alarming. My neighbor is a cashier at Regency & Ridge Public Grocery store; she says over 50% are paying with food stamps now.

Radio Shack will continue as an Online service Only,no Retail Stores..What a Shame! I also heard Best Buy is thinking on the same line! Merchedise Services did that back some time ago.

Radio Shack has been bought out by Nick Cannon (partially, at least) and they are trying to bring it back to save the company

I left that area just under a year ago. Its gotten so much worse. It's literally becoming a no man's land.

Radio Shack was a big part of my life when I was younger, but the truth is -- the electronics chain is NOTHING like it was forty years ago. Radio Shack is no longer a useful geek-stop. Actually, it's more like a glorified mall kiosk these days. Radio Shack should be looking to its past if it wants to survive.

Radio Shack will default in 2015. All the Radio Shack will closing within 2015. Although the remodel it. The remodel of Radio Shack was too late for company.

I believe you're right. The company has EPS of -$6.00 a share. They should have went under over two years ago.

Radio Shack will shut down this year. I don't know what date.

Brick and morter isn't a model that works anymore. Business is blowing up on the internet, but then again you cant get that on video.. XD For every brick and morter that closes, 20 new American businesses open online. As far as franchises go, they are going to be killed off by their own online store. GNC is the #2 nutritional store in the world and ask any store owner you meet, they hate that GNC.com is on EVERY one of their products, because they dont make a cent on those purchases.
