@idw91592 жыл бұрын
hi byanca, thanks for the nice & informative vid; frankly that's an amazingly good deal for the lovely complex you are staying in; i commented to my wife that our monthly electricity bill in hk (for our apt) is higher than US400 - so imagine getting the apartment, pool, gym, cowork area etc included for free when you pay your electric bill ! the interesting thing is the rent in thb will probably get cheaper in US$ over the next couple years
@michaelg66412 жыл бұрын

@@KoopMalverde Yes..but still why less? Prices sure arent going down anwhere, and l didn't think the dollar was on fire anywhere cause it sure isn't in the states. Is the baht going down?
@KoopMalverde2 жыл бұрын
@@michaelg6641 lol I'm not agreeing with him, just explaining what he meant. I don't know if THB is currently losing value, but maybe he does. Also, he says "over the next couple years" so that's a future projection, probably based on something he has seen. The US$ may seem to be losing value to Americans or Europeans but currencies of the developing countries are currently losing more value against the dollar. Mine for instance (Naira). So even if prices rise or stay stagnant, there is a huge chance that 1 dollar will be able to get you more in the near future than presently.

Its currently cheap in Thailand provided you live simply and don't live a party lifestyle, don't be materialistic, don't drink excessively or eat at high end restaurants or shopping. Have a budget and stick to it rigidly. Thailand can tempt you to spend lots, especially the ladies..... Be nice to people, respect and be tolerant to others (its can be different), smile, help others where you can, and you will enjoy your stay....... But you do need some income if you intend staying there a long time.... But remember its a cyclical system.

I stayed there for 1 month and I'm definitely not a fan. This condo feels like a "jail environment" with all its rules, the "working space" (if we can call it like this) is a bit overrated in this video, very small, uncomfortable, close very early and every time you have to look for the staff to run the AC on (they don't leave the remote due to rules, same for the gym), and then it gets cold but have to look for staff again...The gym has barely the minimum and can contain 3-4 people max, so can get busy very quickly. The pool is ok but nothing special and in the middle of the condos with the feeling that everyone is looking at you while at the swimming pool. The WORST side is the parking, the space is so small that every time you have to waste time finding a parking place for the bike (don't even think parking a car at night inside...). Honestly, I highly recommend another place to stay than here (can find cheaper and much better options, don't hesitate to negotiate), especially in Phuket where the beach sides are the best (Rawai and Bang Tao, you'll not be disappointed!)

I have to be honest, I think you're over paying for a 1 bedroom 1 bath for the amount of space the condo has. There is no living room, every condo, apartment, house, etc I have rented the living room was separate from the kitchen, and the bedroom. I don't think have the amenities of a pool, gym, and security gate make up for the lack of space in the actual living quarters. I mean there wasn't even space for a table to have a proper meal at. Looks like an efficient place and well maintained, but sometimes everybody needs some privacy, it doesn't feel like a home to me (I know its an Airbnb).
