“DSE” employs drones and specialized cameras to investigate numerous abandoned vertical mine shafts located throughout the western United States. These shafts pose significant hazards for direct exploration due to the risk of falling debris and poor air quality; however, each shaft serves as a time capsule, with the cameras uncovering insights into a bygone era.
“TT” provides a distinctive viewpoint for investigating concealed and isolated burial sites and cemeteries located in the diverse mining regions of the western United States. These locations serve as a glimpse into the challenges and adversities encountered by miners and their families during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
