~400 mile EV road trip in our 2023 XC40 Recharge | Back home to Chicago from Northport, Michigan!

Join us for our trip back home from Northport, Michigan! We drive almost 400 miles back home in our 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge. Efficiency was a little worse on the way back as it snowed almost 2 inches the night before we left, which made for a messy but beautiful first hour of the drive.
At our first charge in Cadillac, we ran into an Equinox EV, the first time I'd seen one in person. I liked the look of it much better than the Blazer EV.
Our charging stops were flawless on EA once again, and we decided to take a little detour on the way home to check out a fun Charge Point location in Saugatuck. It's at the Roan and Black art gallery, right next to Pennyroyal Café. It definitely added time to our trip, but I've been wanting to check out that spot for a while and it was a fun place to stop and have a coffee and snack. They even have a little farmers market!

Wish you had gotten some more looks and maybe even info on the Equinox! Everyone is anxious to get reviews and more news about them since they haven’t actually been delivered to customers yet!

If the guy wasn’t sitting in it I would have poked around it more but I really didn’t want to bug him while he was working. It looks nice though, very curious to see how it charges!
