Everyone saying $400 is still expensive, Australia is expensive and I’ve always said this haha. In AUS, $400 for a riding outfit (THIS IS $288 USD or $225 pounds!) is very cheap, especially including helmet and boots If you think you could find a cheaper BROWN pair of boots or a BROWN helmet or gloves cheaper, with postage to Australia, please point me in the right direction 🙃🙃🙃

The boots are great!!!! I bought a pair 6 years ago and they are still going strong. there is one tiny scratch on it, but thats it and I mug my stalls with them and everything!!! Also, boots and chaps are the only thing that works for me, because my legs are so proportionally weird. So i have to get them tailed to me if I wanted the long boots and that shit is expensive!!

I have a really similar body type as you and where the breaches land on my hips is such a big deal. If theyre lowrise, it makes my body look weird. mediumrise sits on my hip bones, and highrises are so difficult to find! What do you find best???

Mine would be about $400 if I wore my ariat field boots. If I used my half chaps/paddock boots, I'd be looking at about $200, and that's not including my helmet. Both my helmets are in the $200 range and to protect my head, I think it's a good investment. :D

I LOVE my Roeckl's, but I am with you! I go through three pairs annually. I just bought a pair of Heritage to try and they have almost similar feel and look. They seem to be holding up very well, so far!

I had the same problem with my roeckl gloves. I wrote them a message asking them what I could do to make my gloves last longer since they are not that cheap. They told me that you are actually supposed to wash them like every two to three weeks. So I bought new ones and washed them every month and they last so much longer. Also I don't know how expensive shipping is from Germany to Australia but you should check out German branches, they are so much cheaper :D The brand Spooks for example has really nice breeches and they do High Waisted ones which are super comfy :D

Looooovvvvvveeeee Charles Owen helmets! I got one 2 years ago as....before that I had a relatively cheap hat that was just so bulky and had no ventinatlion- I really didn't know how bad it was until I switched...would never go back!😁 Also the SSG gloves are fab...Love them for my small hands😂 but they rip so easily...but everything apart from SSG and Ariat are waaaayyyy too bulky...I'm using the Ariat super grip tex gloves at the moment...I got them on sale for like €14...really recommend them cuz they don't get damaged easily xx

Why the fuck would you buy a riding shirt when it is at least 50% more expensive than a normal as shirt from H&M and its not always gonna last longer anyways. SSG----you're correct. Love them. Have them :D Great video! I always go a size up for full seats breeches for comfort reasons :) I LOVE the avocado socks!! OMG! I"ll have to look for those! Just a side note, that is not a safe way to put up long hair into a helmet. I have hair your length and in fact, do not put mine up into my Charles Owen as it affected the fit of my Hampton. It is better if you do put hair up, not to coil it but to lay it more flat, to mimic thickness. Just wanted to mention that for safety :D

honestly it's worth it to save up and get a $200-$300 pair of breeches because they're going to last you a long time. If you're young tho then buy the tuff rider tights from amazon. It ain't worth it if you're not gonna use em for more than a year. I also look for nice breeches on sale. One time I bought these brand new up-to-date grey Ariat Olympia breeches (usually $220) for like $75. Still my favorite pair of breeches.

holy crap the cheapest is expensive 😂 my hat was £70, my boots were £50 (short boots: no chaps because they don't work for me and mean i can't put my heels down properly), shirt is a £2.50 PRIMARK LONG SLEEVE TOP!!!!! just basic ass cotton lmao. my breeches were £20 new, gloves were £5 and they are amazing and socks are just any long ones i can find so around £2. i ride around 2-3 times a week and all this stuff works so well for me and i don't see the point in buying branded stuff, but that's just me. altogether my outfit is probably just over £150. the equine market is crazy 😂😬

My outfits usually cost about 200€ EU which are like 225$ USD. I started with an outfit for 50$. Bottoms and Top were from a really cheap sports store here in Germany called Decathlon. The helmet was borrowed the chaps were a gift, the shoes were some normal boots with a heel. I think the most expensive thing in my outfit is my helmet cause my life depends on it so I liked to spend a little more. It is totally normal to reach the next step when you have a hobby that is really time-consuming and which is your favorite one. I for myself own a 3000$ USD gaming computer. Do you need such an expensive computer? No, of course, you do not. I started with a 600$ one. As your hobby grows, your equipment will grow, also in price and there is nothing wrong with that.

It's ridiculous how expensive things can be in Australia. I would love a pair of tall boots, but it's harder as a bigger rider because I've got bigger calves, which means a normal pair can't fit around my leg. I'd have to pay so much more for custom made tall boots. It's the only reason I can wear chaps. It's quite discouraging.

I have a 22" calf (55.88 cm). Fuller Fillies (from UK) is the only off the self brand I could find to fit. I can no longer find them in the USA. BUT, the are very "course" looking. Utilitarian, military, stove pipe looking - the ankle is not fitted. Tredstep Donatellos come in a plus size, but I'd still have to get them altered bigger.
