Great video Tim, what is the piece of equipment at the end of the stand up pipe near the isolation switch you mention. It look like an upside down 'pint pot'. Thank you.
@simongill83443 жыл бұрын
Good video Tim and something for people to consider that whatever filter you have, nexus or the largest, shiniest drum in the world, if you dont keep algae growth on the pond to a mininum you will always have fine issues. Unless you tell the fish to stop moving about and have no flow through the pond!🤣
@TimWaddington3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely Simon. Algae has been different the last few years and we see this horrible type more regular now.

Tim does your bottom drain pipe have to run in a straight line to your nexus or can it have angle in it say a 45°?
@TimWaddington2 жыл бұрын
Yeah you have some angles

If i have the green algae, But it doesn't wipe off like his did, Is it a good thing to keep or a bad thing ? Obviously id much prefer to see the liner/fiberglass , But does the half inch algae have any benefits if its not falling off ? I was under the impression its all part of the eco system, and if got wiped off it would set the pond back a bit ? Maybe you could throw some light on this Tim, Cheers. Lovely pond btw

My fish are constantly grazing on the short algae that grows on the sides and bottom. If you have a microscope, take a sample and check out how much macro life inhabits it.
@bsnclipz44063 жыл бұрын
But you could see it come up when u touched it when u said nothings come up 😂 and that problem is going to come back

Which is why I said blanket weed treatment will have to be used more. It’s not just for the long strands

Love the channel Although the premieres in three days or so thing a bit annoying either put a video up or don’t. Not a great tactic to be honest just do more videos more regularly like I said love channel best wishes

Bloody hell how much would This set a person back. Bloody jealousy I am making one out of sleepers and a 500 quid filter. The filter house would set you back at least 5k

Tim please do a visit to James the koi Whisperer, he's really gone all out on his new build, would be an awesome collaboration between my 2 favourite koi channels👏
